About this listen

This third edition of my heaven book explains the reasons for Satan, Adam, Eve, and the rest of human existence as it has been known for the past six thousand-plus years. It presents logical certainties about heaven and what people will do once they are there. In fact, one gets a good understanding of what the saints of God can expect on the other side of the grave just from looking at things like the seven days of Creation. This book does not do an exhaustive study of that. But it does use instances where the Lord had said that He was pleased for determining what heaven will be like. So if the Garden of Eden was "good," then heaven cannot be much different.

For that reason, the thesis of this text is that heaven will be much like the Garden of Eden plus or minus a few things. The first two chapters will look at how this current existence got to where it is today. The third chapter will present arguments for why the opening chapters of the book of Genesis should be taken literally rather than allegorically. The fourth and fifth chapters will discuss what happens when a saint of God dies. The sixth and seventh chapters will look at eternity from a saved person's point of view and how each saint will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. It should be pointed out, though, that that will be a positive judgment rather than a negative judgment.

In chapters eight and nine, those things that will not be in heaven will be discussed. Chapters ten and eleven will discuss some of those things that will be in heaven, some of which had and some of which had not been in the Garden of Eden. For example, animals had been in the Garden of Eden. They will probably also be in heaven. At the same time, though, Jesus will not only be there, but He will be the main attraction. Then chapter twelve will speculate about what life will be like in heaven. Just like in the Garden of Eden, there will be a lot of activity. People will not just sit around looking for things to do. Heaven will be a happy place. It will also be a forever place.

Then in chapters thirteen and fourteen, the discussion will consider what will happen to people who leave this life without being in a right relationship with the Lord Jesus. To be very blunt, nothing good awaits those people. Then in chapters fifteen and sixteen, things start to wrap up. Chapter fifteen discusses how one can have confidence in the future prophecies about Jesus and the end of the Age. The answers are that Jesus is Lord, that He was a constant messenger about eternal matters, and that of fulfilled prophecy. Then chapter sixteen ends this book with a discussion about true biblical salvation. The expression "true biblical salvation" is used because the idea of an easy believe-ism for salvation is not taught in the scriptures.

There is one note, however, to be made with respect to the organization of this text. Something that the reader might find useful is boxes that show the different passages that are being referenced at the times and in the places where they are being referenced. That way, he or she will not have to jump all over the place or get into or out of the scriptures to locate a particular reference. Hopefully that inclusion will be of value to the reader. So with that having been said, the hope is that every person who reads this book will understand the importance of being in a right relationship with the Lord and then do something about it. There are not any good reasons for dying lost.
