I loved this book. My daughter and I read it together. It was very educational. I am starting another immediately. Thank you for the knowledge.

Loved it!

This book has been very helpful in presenting different aspects and symptoms of ASD in women. Many anecdotes were relatable to my history. I now know that I am not alone. I have a tribe!

Answered many Questions

There was so much valuable information information I'm this book! I appreciate the author sharing as clearly as she did.

Very insightful! Cleared up a lot of confusion!

Not too much information for women, it mostly focuses on helping girls up to adulthood. That informations is very good. But there's not much practical information for women

No so much women but rather girls

This book is a collection of articles related to autism and particularly some of the social challenges that girls may face as they grow and develop. It didn't bother me that different voices provided contrasting and sometimes conflicting information. These are opinions from unique individuals and not meant to create a unified whole. My biggest critique it that this book has not aged well, especially in regards to describing the teen social scene, and ideas on helping girls navigate it. I found it a bit cathartic to hear my own challenges described, but I'll have to look elsewhere if I want advice in helping my daughter. (My Space, the Sims, MTV...do these even exist anymore? )

Some useful nuggets

I agree that this book is potentially damaging to teen Aspie girls. It insists that Aspie girls stuff themselves into a stereotypical box, to sacrifice their true selves for nothing more than subordinate friendships to girls I wouldn't allow my dog to play with, much less a teen girl. We tell kids to "be themselves" but then in this book totally contradict that by telling them to be somebody else, somebody who fits in with a sick high-school culture that values only conformity, shallowness, money, "fashion" and rigidly stereotyped gender roles.

I'm a newly diagnosed adult Aspie, I was hoping this book would provide useful information, instead I'm sickened. I won't be recommending it.

Agree this book is damaging for Aspie teens

It is an easy book to listen to but was not very useful. I was looking for something more technical about Asperger in girls to get more knowledge on the specific matter, as all I have been reading is focused on men. However, this audiobook is only a compilation of short stories about women with Asperger but does not explain in depth how to deal with the disorder.

Not very useful
