Acerca de esta escucha

In Armstrong, the first volume in the Custer of the West series, George Armstrong Custer survived the battle at the Little Big Horn, assumed a new identity (Marshal Armstrong Armstrong) and with the help of a multilingual Indian scout, cancan dancers, Chinese acrobats, a savage dog, and a Southern cardsharp, saved the town of Bloody Gulch, Montana, from the oppression of a corrupt Indian trader.

Now, Armstrong is back, in Armstrong Rides Again!, making common cause with the writer (and former Union officer) Ambrose Bierce, and serving as a soldier of fortune in the strife-torn Latin American island of Neustraguano, where romance, intrigue, a rumbling volcano, revolutionaries, smugglers, treasure, and a civil war all combine for a rip-roaring sequel.

Overall, not a terrible story. I am not a huge fan of Westerns or Historical Fiction, but this story is worth reading for a pretty solid vocal performance by the narrator.
The story starts off seemingly where the first one left off and gives Armstrong a friend to help him through this story. If not for the well done voices of the narrator, this story would've been drudgingly slow. The narrator was able to alter his voice to perform many different voices throughout to emphasize the story progression. All together, not the worst audiobook, but there are certainly better options out there.

Medium Rare Story, Highlights Vocal Performance

The further adventure of Armstrong Armstrong is engaging and at times belly laugh-inducing for its comic turns and quirky but winsome characters. The author faithfully recreatesI yearn for more of it.

A Pointedly Humorous & Engaging Tale

The words were clear and concise and I never felt like the words were being rushed or that I’d have to rewind because I didn’t understand what was said but because I didn’t understand what the passage was saying at first. Although some words felt sharp as he was saying it I’m positive it was on purpose.

I really liked how good the narrator could almost switch POV so I would always know who’s who. The slight difference made a huge difference. The tone difference when talking about certain parts kept my attention on listening. The switching in the languages felt almost seamless, I found this really interesting. Each time I heard it, I was surprised. It felt really funny for bilingual listeners.

A MUST HEAR

I love This book series but the narrator of this edition really suffered by comparison against the 1st one. Is the bad narration and no separation between characters really didn't do the book Justice.
