Awesome first 3 books.

King really has an amazing imagination.
I can't think of a book I've read of his that I didn't like. Some are good and a lot are great, but none are average or below.
The MC here is not the average MC. He's a likable bloodthirsty leader with a good head on his shoulders.
I'm looking forward to book 4.
I'm giving this omnibus 6.5 out of 5 stars.

I quite liked this bundle, it's only 1 credit and keeps you entertained for a while, if you enjoy apocalypse type books you'll love this bundle

Completely not what I was expecting…

I didn’t know exactly what I would expect for this series but it was probably the typical post-apocalyptic fantasy where a group of people gain magic to defend people.
Thankfully, this story had more depth to it. At least eventually. But I did find myself loosing interest throughout. I’ll probably continue the series to the end but it isn’t a very big drive to do so.

Knightly Boxset

This is a very solid series. Max, the MC, is very likeable and an ex military so a perfect enforcer.

Another great adventure from D.B. King!

I like the dynamic of him fighting to save the world in the ruined world

I disliked how he still had feelings for the girl that has already proven that you did not have his back I just couldn't stand that so I never finished it

Worthwhile

This is definitely a fantastic bargain to be had. A all in all good story, with only a couple negatives for me. The story started off strong, and continued to impress me for the most part, but it ran into the issue that most will when working with this subject matter. The pacing. It is a hard line to walk to progress the story in a way that doesn't make it overly repetitive, so it makes sense to move it along at parts, but how far in one burst was definitely a choice I wasn't a fan of. It had a couple predictable parts, though in fairness I did guess wrong on how some things would play out. A few "stupid decisions" that seems vastly put of character for "plot" reasons, but nothing excessive. Some story arcs that got too much love to have next to no pay out, and others that need better fleshing out. The narrator did an excellent job throughout, and managed to make most of the varied voices unique enough to easily discern who was speaking. Only thing I have against them is the accent choice on a few characters. All in all it was a great listen, and I will be getting the next book.

Dark & Light, Magic & Muscle, and Witty

This series of books was a lot of fun. I have never read this style of book before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very much like listening to someone play a role playing game. The characters are very enjoyable in this series. I haven’t laughed so much whilst listening to a book. The jesting made this series that much better. Apart from me enjoying the wittiness there’s plenty to enjoy about this story. The chaos that unfolds and the love that blossoms as things converge in on itself. Magic and Muscle. Everything that you can imagine happens here. Excellent read. Now onto the fourth and I believe the final book. Enjoy!
