About this listen
A secret Cabal
A nation in collapse
A man desperate to serve his country and save his family from the end of civilization.
Dylan Kamal’s job is to protect America from dangerous Artificial Intelligence. Today, he’ll narrowly avoid becoming its next victim. With his security agency destroyed he’ll find himself navigating an America caught in the throes of a manufactured insurrection.
A hidden cabal has infiltrated our devices and sources of media. Their goal? To turn American against American by feeding false or misleading information directly into the palm of our hands. Our political, cultural and religious differences become the weapons of our destruction.
Dylan's plans are simple, protect the nation he swore an oath to defend and to save his family from the chaos enveloping our country.
He’ll have to do that while being hunted by highly trained paramilitaries and AI commanded by the secret group that has orchestrated the end of our civilization.
Can Dylan save all that he holds dear or will his family and our way of life succumb to the plans of this shadowy new enemy?

“It could have been a contender”
Absolutely spot on military descriptions. The equipment, maneuvers, reactions and more were written by a thoroughly knowledgeable person. However the proselytizing was an absolutely offensive addition to what would otherwise have been a great book. The publisher should be pilloried for misleading potential readers. I will definitely avoid this author and this publisher in the future.

A strong entrance
Even though I had already read the book, the audio book kept my interest. As the reading progressed, the reader gained confidence and therefore credibility. I enjoyed it and will seek others in this series.

Started with a bang and did not stop
This book was confusing but it was meant to be. The story used fake news to see how easy it is to manipulate people'. There was lots of action. It is the story of love of family. I can not wait until the next one.

Nonstop Action
Apocalypse Dawn, the first book in the Spire Saga, is a fast-paste action-adventure with loads of intensity. The characters are well-developed, capable, and continuously fighting their lives. The action-scenes are well-composed, keeping the listeners on the edge of the seat.
An outstanding performance by Matthew Crow. His portrayal of the characters, timing, and inflections were spot-on, bringing the story to life. Overall, Apocalypse Dawn was an entertaining audiobook, and I will definitely listen to the second book in the series.

Great book
I really liked the story line. The characters and plot are great. The narrator did a good job with the story. I got kind of confused at first with all the different factions at first and the story looped twice repeating itself but otherwise a really great book.
