About this listen
Man, in his technological brilliance, has outdone himself. Political wrangling and disparate factions have vied and fought for limited resources, until those were exhausted. Some could be created; many could not. Space and the oceans held some promise, but never yielded sufficient quantities for the swelling hordes. The results were cataclysmic, at first minor skirmishes, later blooming into wholesale destruction. Humanity had lost its way. There was no turning back. Follow Mark and Elyse as they struggle to discover what happened to their world, and how they can survive in this incomprehensible new life.

Dark yet hilarious
What made the experience of listening to Apocalypse the most enjoyable?
This was, overall, an engaging book to listen to. The story is quite funny despite the dark material.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Apocalypse?
The moment the main character found Mark. All their interactions afterwards were very engaging.
Have you listened to any of Yael Eylat-Tanaka’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first time I've listened to this narrator, but I like it. Her narration is emphatic and emotional, and the pace and diction is just right. My only complaint is the mouth clicks heard throughout the audiobook, but they were only slightly distracting and I got used to it after a while.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The fact that both main characters were clinging on to survival, and each other.
Any additional comments?
Great listen.
