About this listen
Many people often use the terms “ape” and “monkey” interchangeably. In fact, many people will also refer to apes as monkeys and likewise refer to monkeys as apes. While it is important to note that apes and monkeys are both considered primates, they have many definite differences.
The easiest and quickest way to tell monkeys and apes apart is by looking for a tail. Most monkeys have tails, while all apes do not have tails. Apes tend to live longer than monkeys, and they are also normally larger than monkeys. Monkeys run along branches when they move through trees, while apes swing from branch to branch using their arms.
Apes and monkeys are both divided into two different groups, under which each different species falls. Different ape species include chimpanzees, gibbons, gorillas, bonobos, and orangutans while different monkey species include marmosets, baboons, capuchins, and macaques.
Ape and Monkey Trivia: Fun Facts About Apes and Monkeys for Kids goes into much greater detail about the similarities and differences between apes and monkeys. It then dives deeper into exactly what apes are, as well as exactly what monkeys are. There are also three separate chapters on the most famous and popular apes, from celebrities and movie stars to primates from our history, and even the most famous primates from zoos all around the world.
There is truly something for everyone in this fun. fact-filled audiobook about apes and monkeys. It will truly make learning fun for kids of all ages! Cats are also just as intelligent, if not even more intelligent than dogs are. I'm not going to lie, I have always been "team dog" over "team cat"...but, after researching cats to write this audiobook, I may have just changed my mind. They are truly an incredible species. And, there are so many different kinds! From domesticated pet cats to stray cats, and from feral cats to big, wild cats, it's almost amazing that they are all even considered to be in the same family.

Cannibalism has also been used as a form of terrorism and as the ultimate expression of filial piety. With unexpected wit and a wealth of knowledge, Bill Schutt takes us on a tour of the field, exploring exciting new avenues of research and investigating questions like why so many fish eat their offspring and some amphibians consume their mothers' skin.

But this curious collection of features contain the roots of all the biology that makes us what we are: monkeys with massive brains who parent extensively, enjoy sport and think lots. Which is to say, what makes us mammals makes us human.

In Cat Sense, renowned anthrozoologist John Bradshaw takes us further into the mind of the domestic cat than ever before, using cutting-edge scientific research to explain the true nature - and needs - of our feline friends. Tracing the cat’s evolution from solitary hunter to domesticated companion, Bradshaw shows that cats remain independent, predatory, and wary of social contact.

Birds are highly intelligent animals, yet their intelligence is dramatically different from our own and has been little understood. As we learn more about the secrets of bird life, we are unlocking fascinating insights into memory, relationships, game theory, and the nature of intelligence itself. The Thing with Feathers explores the astonishing homing abilities of pigeons, the good deeds of fairy-wrens, the influential flocking abilities of starlings, the deft artistry of bowerbirds, the extraordinary memories of nutcrackers, and other mysteries.

Story
Misconceptions, misunderstandings, and flawed facts finally get the heave-ho in this humorous, downright humiliating book of reeducation based on the phenomenal British best seller. Challenging what most of us assume to be verifiable truths in areas like history, literature, science, nature, and more, The Book of General Ignorance is a witty “gotcha” compendium of how little we actually know about anything. It’ll have you scratching your head wondering why we even bother to go to school.

Story
Eating one's own kind is a completely natural behavior in thousands of species, including humans. Throughout history we have engaged in cannibalism for reasons related to famine, burial rites, and medicine.

Story
The story of evolution as you’ve never heard it before. What’s the easiest way to tell species apart? Check their genitals. Researching private parts was long considered taboo, but scientists are now beginning to understand that the wild diversity of sex organs across species can tell us a lot about evolution. Menno Schilthuizen invites listeners to join him as he uncovers the ways the shapes and functions of genitalia have been molded by complex Darwinian struggles.
