About this listen
A careless accident by a scientist in the twenty-fourth century dramatically and irretrievably altered the lives of billions in what is known as the Parallel Multiverse. In most instances, a single individual was transported to a different universe, resulting in shock, sorrow and a struggle to survive.
Phil and Grant’s deer hunting expedition in northern Pennsylvania started with an early morning ride into the woods and was followed by a hike home to a town that no longer existed. The geography was the same but the familiar countryside was now a barren wilderness. The two practical minded Americans were forced to consider survival in a world they could not leave.
Discovery of a similarly transplanted Viking village led the two friends into a mission to preserve the lives of a group of people who were also torn from everything that was familiar. The melding of the cultures was complicated by a native tribe that was convinced the Vikings were trespassing on tribal land. The repeated conflicts challenged everyone to survive and move forward.

Story
In Frontier Country, Patrick Spero addresses one of the most important and controversial subjects in American history: the frontier. Countering the modern conception of the American frontier as an area of expansion, Spero employs the eighteenth-century meaning of the term to show how colonists understood it as a vulnerable, militarized boundary. The Pennsylvania frontier, Spero argues, was constituted through conflicts not only between colonists and Native Americans but also among neighboring British colonies.

Mike Mulvaney, a scientific prodigy who spent four years as a Maine after his father was almost killed in 9/11, went for a hike in the Adirondacks. He unknowingly walked through a star gate or portal to another world. The planet Cornu was settled by humans in the distance past who came through gates from Earth. There were changes to human genes that strongly influenced human society. More women than man dictated multiple wives. Low fertility and birthrate with low population growth limited large scale conflicts.

Pretty Good
Credible time travel story. Far from the worst in this category and I suggest you give it a try.
I am interested in a sequel.

Disappointing
It had the makings of a really great story, but it never developed. The ending was the worst part. It was as if the author just decided to stop writing.
