About this listen

Annabelle, like all of her fairy friends, desperately wants to be a rose fairy when she grows up. But when things go horribly wrong at the Great Selecting ceremony, the fairy queen tells Annabelle she will have to spend the rest of her life as a fart fairy!

As Annabelle's childhood friends distance themselves from her, Annabelle's family - especially her goofy brother, Fevrile - tell her everything will be all right. But, she knows better than to believe them.

This is the story of how Annabelle tries to run away from her life as a fart fairy, breaking rules and friendships along the way. But, when catastrophe strikes, she is forced to embrace her identity as a Forgotten Fairy, leading her to a destiny more important than anything else in history.

Annabelle, the Reluctant Fart Fairy is book one in the Forgotten Fairies series, designed for listeners ages 6 to 106.

Laugh Out Loud Cute Story About A Forgotten Fairy

ANNABELLE, the RELUCTANT FART FAIRY was an amazingly cute story about a fairy who got stuck being a fart fairy which in the fairy world was the stinkiest job to have. She had to help other beings including humans release gas. She didn't want this job but had to do it for ten years before being able to change jobs. She wanted to be a rose fairy or something less smelly.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook and am certain that kids would love it, especially girls. I think there was a good message in this story but moreover, it was fun and laugh out loud. I can just picture my grandaughter and even my daughter rolling in the floor and giggling their heads off.

M.T. LOTT is a wonderfully creative author to write this and I would definitely suggest giving this one a listen. It's super entertaining.

KAT MARLOWE has a fabulous voice and did an excellent job narrating this audiobook. Her voice fit perfectly for Annabelle. She gave her the exact amount of sparkle and sass one would expect from a fairy. Even a fart fairy.

Audiobook provided by the narrator in exchange for an honest review.

Entertaining story

Very funny story! I was able to listen to this story with my kids around, and they also enjoyed the story. Made me laugh quite a few times. Annabelle was able to overcome her fart fairy status.

Fart Fairy!

I love the story that author M T Lott has come up with about forgotten fairies and how they're needed to keep the world working right. I love how once the fairies reach 500 years of age they become selected to find out what type of fairy they'll become. Annabelle, during the selecting let's a fart rip from the bean burrito she ate before selecting and it upsets her stomach. This causes her to become a Dart Fairy. She's devastated but soon learns that being a fart fairy is an important job to.

Kat Marlowe does a great job with the telling of the story. Each fairy was identifiable and I had no trouble distinguishing each one that was speaking throughout this story. Overall, this makes a perfect children's story. It is more for children and those like me who are young at heart. I bet kids would love to hear the audio version of these stories. For parents who like their children to have a good story everyday then you definitely should give these a try.

.

What did you love best about Annabelle, the Reluctant Fart Fairy?

I loved that she was so against being this type of fairy. I almost died laughing when she was given her job, she is so dramatic. Getting to see her grow and understand the importance of every job was fun and enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Annabelle, the Reluctant Fart Fairy?

I would have to say when she put the stink bomb in the rose for Jane. Even though I know it was wrong for her to do, I could not help but applaud her creativity and her way of getting even.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really liked when she came back from fart fairy boot camp and made fart jokes with her brother. I thought it was great that she was trying to relate to him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

the importance of the underdogs or something about the forgotten fairies.

Any additional comments?

I loved how this book emphasized the importance of all jobs no matter what they were. Not everyone can have a glamorous job, someone has to do the dirty work. If no one was around to do the jobs no one else wanted , we would not be able to function. That fact the jobs were made fun made this story even more enjoyable and provided a great lesson to who listen or read it.

Long drive with 6 and 8 year old

I just drove my loud, restless grandchildren back to their house in Phoenix from the top of the state, and this book held them captive for a good portion of the trip. they spent the rest of the trip discussing what kind of fairy they would be and why. I wasn't expecting much, but this turned out to be a pleasantly cute story.

A REALLY GREAT STORY

Any additional comments?

My 10yr old listened to this book and this is her review: I really liked this book. It tells you about the types of fairies and is in Annabelle's perspective. The main character is Annabelle and she really wants to be a rose fairy instead she's a fart fairy. But in 10 yrs she will be a history fairy. I enjoyed the story and it was exciting. I enjoyed listening to the book instead of reading it because of the way the narrator, Kat, changes her voice for each character.
