Very helpful.

I really learned a lot from listening to this audiobook. It’s so hard sometimes especially at the end of the day to keep your cool and be the parent you want to be and not give to your emotions. I found the part about being present for your children and making sure that you’re raising resilient confident happy kids to be so empowering and important. Great advice.

Excellent Guide to Calmer Parenting

There is a two-part focus to this audible book--understanding your behavior as a parent and identifying what causes your child's behavior and reactions. The book's discussion of anger triggers is constructive in assessing your angry reactions to various situations with your children. I feel like I can only change things that I understand well.

It is also helpful to realize that, as parents, we can't control everything about our children that we might want to control. We have to learn how to control our responses and interactions- which sometimes is not always easy to accomplish. However, this author provides many great suggestions and strategies.

The section on self-care is essential for parents. I'm convinced that angry parenting leads to burnout much quicker than calm parenting. This is an excellent resource for every parent, not just the ones who recognize that they have angry interactions with their children.
