As good as the book!

Loved the narrater, the suspence, the thrill. The sex! All is as good as the book. TYLET MAY IS A GREAT AUTHOR. I RECOMMEND ALL HER BOOKS!

Love the story, but not the narration

I've loved this story since it first came out so knowing it was going to be on audio just make me happy to revisit the story from a new perspective. Christian was fine, a lot of the side characters were OK (and I thought that Red having an accent like Dracula was funny) but Zander was so monotone and flat. I was very surprised by that. Even the love scenes were flat. I've listened to other erotic stories and they always have passion and desire in their voice and maybe the narrator wasn't comfortable with it (if that was the case he shouldn't have signed on) but it was hard to listen to at parts. I even noticed that there were a few parts where they had obviously done a different take but didn't take the previous one out. Overall I love the story so I did enjoy listening to it but I honestly wish the narration was different.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend to a friend! This book is hot with a capital H. I couldn't listen in public. I give it 5 out of 5 bites ;)

Great story, unbearable narration

It's an interesting vampire tale, entertaining. The narration is truly unbearable, comical really. I even tried speeding up the narration in an effort to minimize "robot voice" but even at 1.35 I couldn't take it, especially the steamy scenes which are laughable in robot voice. Sadly I had to switch to reading.

Poor Narration Choice for Great Story

What did you like best about Angel of Darkness? What did you like least?

I loved the story but hated the poor narration. There was very little emotion and the voices didn't suit the characters (voice was also too old for Christian).

What other book might you compare Angel of Darkness to and why?

I guess could be compared to Alexa Land's Tinder Chronicles (kindle version only).

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Like he was reading a phone book. No emotion, or very little that I could tell. The voices were all wrong for the characters.

I wish the publishers would pay more attention to the quality of the narrator chosen. I feel like I wasted my money and it was so bad I couldn't even listen to all of it - it was ruining the story.
