Well constructed story with some performance editing issues

I enjoy led this historical journey through ancient India. There is a little too much granular detail about some battles that could be omitted in favor of other aspects of the ancient history. Also, the digression into the life and campaigns of Alexander takes away from the flow of the narrative. Nevertheless, there was plenty of interesting stories and details of the regions history.

I do like the performance of the narrator in this work and others. However, as noted by other reviewers, there are some glaring editing problems in chapter 3 which are a bit distracting (clearing his throat, repeating fragments that were misspoken in the first attempt). I see these as lack of editing quality control and encourage the publisher to fix these and rerelease this audio book.

felt a bit lacking...

while some parts seemed to drag a little, overall I felt like something was missing. can't really figure out what, though. like I said, just a feeling. probably just me...projecting or something. lol

1 heads up: I believe it's in chapter 3. there's some glitching, where either full or partial sentences are repeated.

overall, I enjoyed this, but perhaps crave a bit more.

Probably AI Generated

One of three paths was taken in writing this.

1) The author wrote 1 chapter at a time with many years delay between writing chapters.
2) Different writers wrote different chapters and didn't communicate.
3) AI wrote this (99% sure its this one lol).

The book doubles back on itself frequently, giving the same information repeatedly in different chapters, and not in a normal way used to help you remember something...rather in an akward way like the writer forgot they already wrote about it (because there wasn't a real writer lol). At one part of the book it speaks of a building in a way that suggests the building certainly existed. Later in the book the same building is explained to be potentially just parts of an unreliable story.

Thoughts and ideas are fragmented, making it hard to follow on some occasions.

Chapter 3

Love the story and insight but in chapter 3 the narrator cleared his voice a few times and when he was not sure about pronounciations he repeated the word or the entire sentence a few times. This part needs a good review and editing. Good story but the editing fails are pretty glaring
