About this listen

The Epistle of Barnabas is often quoted by the ancient church fathers. Although not considered inspired Scripture it was used to combat legalism in the first two centuries AD. Along with explaining why the Laws of Moses are not binding on Christians, the Epistle explains how many of the Old Testament rituals teach typological prophecy. Subjects explored are: Yom Kippur, the Red Heifer ritual, animal sacrifices, circumcision, the Sabbath, Daniels visions and the end-time 10-nation empire, and the Temple.

The underlying theme is the Three-Fold Witness. Barnabas teaches that mature Christians must be able to lead people to the Lord, testify to others about Bible prophecy fulfilled in their lifetime, and teach creation history and creation science to guard the faith against the false doctrine of evolution. This is one more ancient church document that proves the first century church was premillennial and constantly looking for the Rapture and other prophecies to be fulfilled.

increase your faith!!!

The only way to deal with the bad doctrine handed down to us is to go back and clean it up. Taking the time to do so is never wasted time.

Authentic ..

Dr. Ken Johnson has been amazing in his research for decades .. his interest in the earliest church fathers and the Dead Sea Scrolls has made me a loyal reader and listener on YouTube. He is always kind and respectful - even when answering the most mundane questions.

fantastic information!

Ken Johnson has done it again! Thank you for this fantastic translation and the information on the threefold witness in the back! Makes me think of the triquetra.

I'm listening primarily for research I'm doing into the claims of Gail Riplinger regarding Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas. Even if I hadn't been looking into her claims I would have eventually listened to this audiobook because all of Ken's books are awesome!!

Regarding Gail, I'm discovering new depths of skewing one's research to puff up one's own personal biases in her 40th chapter of New Age BibleVersions. I'm coming from a KJV-only perspective and am very disappointed, especially since I have prompted her material for over a decade.

Way too much added.

Wow, hard to tell where the original text vs the rewrite start and stop.
