About this listen

Dr. Erin Pryce is an ER physician in Boston who must face the painful past she’s tried to escape from when her best friend, Jenna Godfrey, is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Jenna still lives in New Dublin, Wisconsin, the small town they grew up in - a town Erin vowed she would never return to. But now, she has no choice. Jenna needs her. And then everything Erin thought she knew is turned upside down in New Dublin, especially when she crosses paths with Luke Mathis, a detective who has his hands full in a town teeming with crime and corruption.

Erin is pretty good at finding trouble herself, and the story is intertwined with plenty of medical drama, mystery, romance, humor, and even an element of the paranormal. But in the end, it’s all about people helping each other survive and the power of love to overcome any obstacle.

GREAT READ!!

I absolutely loved it! This book is full of emotions (suspense, mystery, romance, angst, sorrow); you name it, it's in here. The narration is superb and gives the story that extra flair. It will keep you entertained. This author does a great job with the character builds and plot. This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last. I look forward to reading more of her books. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Has a Little Bit of Everything

I was expecting a pretty straight forward book when I started "An Eternity in a Moment," but what I got was much more complex.

I was expecting a romance with a little bit of mystery. However, there was lots of mystery and investigating, lots of romance, and some religious undertones as well. My heart experienced every emotion from sadness to joy. The character building was fantastic and the characters do have flaws which make them much more realistic and enjoyable. I know I should probably say I enjoyed the romance more, but honestly I loved the friendship between Erin and Jenna best. The story took was unexpected twists and turns which I really enjoyed. I feel there is potential for sequels or spin offs as well.

Stacey Glemboski does a great job with distinct character voices. I really enjoyed her performance.

A complex story of love and carrying on.

I requested and received a copy of this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review. The audio was beautifully done, and the quiet and perfectly modulated narration was an excellent match for this complex tale of a group of people in Wisconsin who are determined to live, love, and continue to grow despite the hurdles life seems to continually throw at them. This is, however, not an easy book to classify or review. It is most definitely inspirational, but readers/listeners who take umbrage with passionate relationships outside the traditional bounds of matrimony will not be happy. There are murders, and attempted murders, but it is by no means a crime novel or thriller. There are some wacky phobias and irrational inhibitions that are gradually overcome, but it is certainly not a self-help book. The story does not end on a "cliff-hanger," but it is obvious that there is more about Erin, Luke and Jenna that the author intends to share. I found numerous minor plotlines preposterous. In the end, however, I was sorry the story had finished, and I will doubtless seek out the next book when the author publishes it.

Complex

An Eternity in a Moment by K Carothers is a great book. I found the book to be multi-dimensional with the various elements of murder, drugs, embezzlement, best friends, poetry, romance and religious references. I was first attracted to this book based on the narrator, as Stacey Glemboski is extremely talented and delightful to listen to. Next the blurb of the story attracted me. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I just hope the next book has a more satisfying ending.

An Eternity in a Moment

Wow, what a nice surprise this book was! A little bit of everything - Mystery, suspense, romance, friendship, health issues, adultery, violence, ghosts, you name it! It ended in a good place, but feels like it left room for additional stories. I definitely need more! Great narration. I'll look for more from this author and narrator as well.

Loved the religious undertones!

This book does not mess around! It had all of the elements - adultery, medical emergency's, repressed memories, horrible childhood, best friends, murders, drugs, embezzlement, romance, terminal illnesses, and ghosts. Along the way, we are treated to a very special glimpse into the teachings of the Bible as well as some seriously good poetry. It was great!!

The narrator was easily the best part about this listen. I've had the 'Glemboski pleasure' with several books and she is as advertised. When the tension ramped up, she was on point. When the romance kicked in, she brought all the feels.

Even with all of the above awesomeness, this story had a crappy ending. I mean, c'mon!!!!!! (Shakes head.) As a loyal listener for nearly 13 hours, we were owed something a tad more. I don't see a book two but there is no way one is not in the works.

Phenomenal Read

As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.
I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.

This book was a really great read and once you start it is hard to put down. The characters that the author created were very easy to relate too and connect with, and the author does an outstanding job of giving the reader a gateway into experiencing the story with the characters. The storyline was very catchy, intriguing, and sucks you in with a great mix of supernatural, love, and crime. The story kept your attention from start to finish. There were great twists and turns which every reader loves to experience in a novel. This is a highly recommended read.

An Eternity in a Moment

What a good story! I thoroughly enjoyed this book--couldn't put it down! The characters are realistic, and the author takes enough time to develop the world they live in so that you really feel like you're there! I love the friendship between Erin and Jenna, and Erin's romance with Luke is swoon-worthy! The narration was excellent, and when I finished I immediately went to look for more, even though this one is a standalone. Get yourself a copy today, you won't be sorry!
