About this listen

Each book in the Expectant Amish Widows series is a standalone listen.

Widowed and pregnant Amish woman, Sarah Kurtz, is in dire financial circumstances. Relief comes unexpectedly when her late uncle leaves her his income-producing farm in Sugarcreek. After Sarah's baby is born, she leaves Lancaster County and moves to her new home, unaware there is a long-term tenant living in the adjoining grossdaddi haus. When she meets her disagreeable neighbor, Joshua Byler, her irritation with him is softened by his two children. Not wanting her daughter to be raised with one parent and no siblings as she was, Sarah knows the only solution is to marry again. With Christmas looming, will Sarah find her prayers are answered?

Or will she let Joshua Byler stand in her way of happiness?

WIDOW'S. CHALLENGES

AMISH WIDOW'S CHRISTMAS by Samantha Price
# 12 in "Expectant Amish Widows "
Samantha has once again, brought to us, what hardship some women face. When for many when one looses a spouse one married due to necessity of children, money. This was brought to light for Sarah, expecting a baby, no home, money and no work, to bring in what would be needed. God does provide, and thankfully she was willing to move to Sugarcreek. Was it the complete happy solution she thought. With a widower and two children living in the grandfather house. Through the eyes of children, their wants and love, she knows what needed to be done. The courage to face all the challenge was excellently portrayed by Samantha. Readers will want to read this and the others in this series. Given ARC audio for my voluntarreview and my honest opinion.

Good clean stories

I love the amish stories because they're wholesome and clean. I think the only 2 things I don't like is that they're too predictable and the other thing is I can't stand how they interject amish words in the story. It sounds strange and quirky. Lol... Other than that, they're a nice read.

Is BORING a Word?

I have listened to five other books by this author & enjoyed each one. Not this book! It was slow & drug on monotonously. I saw no appeal at all for either the H/h. In point of fact, the heroine was a dud. I can not recommend this audiobook. Save your credit or $$. There are so many better Amish audiobooks in the Audible catalog. I will probably delete this from my library.
