Best finish to a pol book that I can remember

If you could sum up Ameritopia in three words, what would they be?

As some of the other reviewers most of this book is an OVERVIEW of several Utopian visions, including sizable excepts from the works he cites followed by the same treatment of the great works of those of such writers as Locke, Tocqueville, Montesquieu, and so on. This approach does as good a job establishing what exactly is America's intellectual foundation, and as important, what is not. Levin finishes the book with a couple of truly amazing and sobering chapters, supporting his claim that America is already spoiled by Utopian programs that are more invasive than anyone cares to admit, and how they got put into place. Those who want to understand the erosion of the once Land of the Free will appreciate this book.

What did you like best about this story?

The last couple chapters should be required reading for any voter. I was stunned by the statistics and facts presented. Those chapters were set up by Levin painstakingly presenting the core of the Utopian visions.

Did Adam Grupper and Mark R. Levin do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Mark - Quit being cheap with your time on your audiobooks! Nobody can match your passion in reading your words, and this is the case with the reading of Ameritopia.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Wake the heck up!

Had to buy the book! It's an American History Book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! You need to read all of Mark's books.

What did you like best about this story?

The telling of the truth about liberalism's flaw.

Would you be willing to try another one of Adam Grupper and Mark R. Levin ’s performances?

No! This content must be studied in great detail to determine how to read it. Actually, you have to by the book. It requires a dictionary to understand ALL the significance of the content.

If you could give Ameritopia a new subtitle, what would it be?

The subtitle is correct as is.

Any additional comments?

It's now or never. We change direction now or America dies.

Savor this one a little at a time

Some audiobooks are hard to put down, and I zoom through them in no time. However, this one is meant to be listened to slowly as there are many thought provoking concepts presented. Should Americans allow their government so much control as to let those in charge strive for some form of American Utopia ? Or are free market principles and small central government the path we should take? Levin guides us through Plato, Thomas More, Hobbes, and Karl Marx and contrasts their ideals with the Locke, Montesquieu and de Tocqueville in an effort to make us all understand what we have and what could happen to what we have if we don't pay attention. A very enlightening read for all, one which I plan to pass along to my family and friends. A better reading gift could not be given.

Fantastic book!

This book is great. If you're interested in knowing about the authors the Founding Fathers read and respected, and why the Founders believed the way they did, then this is a great book to listen to. I have listened to it twice now and will listen to it again. Levin cuts through the fog and exposes the truth about what is really going on with this country, why what's going on now was rejected throughout our history, and why we need to move back towards our founding principals. I have really enjoyed this book.

Love this eye opener book...

I really loved this eye opener book. A lot of the things that they go through in this book I knew about but I had not pulled it all together. This book is wonderful and I'll need to read and re-read this book. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Levin Does It Again!

If you liked Liberty & Tyranny, you will LOVE this book. Mark does an amazing job of condensing some pretty complex subject matter into understandable, thought-provoking, meaningful, and enlightening bits of insight and wisdom. Along with being one of the greatest thinkers of our time, Mark is a great communicator. While Adam Grupper did a great job with the narration, Mark's delivery is so much more compelling. I wish he read the whole book.

Fantastic "The Great One" never disapoints!

Would you consider the audio edition of Ameritopia to be better than the print version?

Better for some, I really enjoyed being able to listen while I worked.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Freedom loving people who throughout history fought the tyrannical utopian masterminds.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved learning about the philosophies behind the founding of The United States.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cry over the sad state the leftist utopian masterminds have brought this once free nation to.

Any additional comments?

A defining work! If you want to understand the greatest conflict mankind faces this is the handbook. Throughout the history of man the despotic masterminds have used the lie of a utopian paradise to fool the masses into tyrannical submission. Mark shows in his groundbreaking book just how close the radical left has brought this once great nation to its knees. I pray we are not too late to stop our latest utopian mastermind
