Publisher's summary

When you’re the created vampire, and discover your fated mate is a dominant dragon alpha, what could go wrong?

Master Ambrosius was created over a millennium ago and had come to terms with spending his life alone. He has his coven, his second, and a few close friends, but he continues to be haunted by the memory of his fated mate running from him in terror. That is, until the goddess sends him to Montana, and he discovers his body reacting to a sexy alpha with wide shoulders and dark eyes. Surely there’s some mistake though, right?

Emmerich was born on Treasure Ridge, the mountain his grandparents claimed several centuries ago for a reason that wasn’t yet known. Like his brother, he longs for his mate and children but knows they aren’t on their mountain. Emmerich’s dragon insisted he would find his mate in Sicily, but after weeks of searching, he comes back to Treasure Ridge, where his dragon scents the most amazing thing. Mate. When he discovers the scent is coming from the created vampire, he’s not sure about the pairing but is more than willing to accept the match.

Together, they discover a desire for unexpected things. But while they are happy switching roles at certain times, the council is still forming, and they discover an evilness none expected. Will they be able to stop the threat before their family is harmed?

Ambrosius is Book One in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate MPreg story in an MPreg world, and you should expect all the normal vampire shenanigans, and remember that love bites in unexpected places. Especially when your beloved is a sexy dragon.

Fantastic start to a new seris!! Loved Ambrosius

Holy moly! This was fantastic!! A great start to a new series, the Paranormal Council Enforcers. Ambrosius is the created vampire and unconsciously longs for his beloved. But he’s over a thousand years old, stubborn and set in his ways. He had a beloved, but he ran away and is most certainly dead. Emmerich is a dragon shifter, his family settled on the mountain first and shares it with the council. He longs for a mate; he’s been searching for him. I loved Ambrosius antics when he first scented his beloved!! I loved how Emmerich didn’t take any crap from Ambrosius, just loved him for who he is. Michael Ferraiuolo does a phenomenal job with the narration! Each voice he creates is clear and distinct. Overall, an fantastic listen! It kept me engaged, listened in one sitting.

Excellent addition to the series

This is Book one of the next installment of the series, but I recommend you read the previous books in this continuing adventure of these characters. I’m looking forward to continuing the saga. My only regret is that they are not all in audio. Michael, as usual, does an incredible job narrating the story.

The Dragon Finds His Vampire!

Going to start right off with Michael Ferraiuolo whose narration brought the Ancient Lonely Vampire and the Dragon who claims him as his mate to vivid life! Each of their voices was just spot on what I could connect fitting their personalities. I had read the book a while back but the audible brought a bit of a more fresh, fun and sexy feel! This one is a pretty easy fun listen with a ton of steam and spice between these two as their pairing was quite unique. This is the first in the series so there is so much more to come!

Great story... wonderful narration

This is a beautiful addition to Taylor Rylan's Paranormal Universe. She has woven together the best parts of the shifter world with a grand mystery that grows as each new book is unveiled. Michael Ferraiuolo is a master at vocal inflection and regional accents. In this book, he portrays characters with Scottish, Irish, English, German, Spanish, and several American dialects. Ambrosius' and Emmerich's love story slots into the overall story in such a special way. I read this story when it first came out, but listening brought out items in the overall mystery of the series that made many things make more sense. If you haven't started this series, please do... you'll never regret it.

Love Ambrosius

One of my favorite books - so happy the accent was spot on! He made my Ambrosius real for me.

My first audio book

So this is the first audio book I have ever listened to. I found it a little different in the beginning because while it was eight hours to listen, I could’ve read it much faster. It was very enjoyable though. I love Ambrosius and Emmerich. Learning what life has been like for Ambrosius and seeing how far he’s come on his own to falling in love and not being sure of how to act. His character grows a lot during this book and how stubborn he can be like any typical person whose been hurt before to finally getting his happiness and falling truthfully in love with his beloved is something I loved reading about. Then there is Emmerich who is younger, and someone he definitely didn’t expect but who treats him with love and respect. Who shows him he’s not going anywhere and that he loves him with everything that he is. That’s something everyone always wishes for. Seeing the plot continue from the other series and you can definitely tell that this series and the Beloved Gem series will be intertwined in more ways than one. I very much loved getting to hear the different voices while listening to the book. Getting an idea of what each character could have or would have sounded like based on where they are from. Looking forward to listening to more in the future. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audio book.

good but characters are oddly immature

So I like the author and narrator, and generally enjoy the genre when I’m in the mood. Mostly the book is fine, no major complaints.

But like, the main 2 characters act like they’ve never had conversations with people before. Especially Emmerich - he got annoyed that Ambrosius didn’t text before leaving for work and therefore took off and disappeared for a whole week? Like who does that? Yeah it seems he needs a bit more direct communication from Ambrosius and some more overt words of affection, but his behavior is much much worse than his single complaint about Ambrosius. He acts really entitled. I don’t know - if the story was more age-gap-py and Emmerich was like 20 (not 200), I could see it. But he’s lived for centuries. No real excuse

Anyways the story on the whole is fine I just didn’t really get why the main two characters act so immature when they first meet. It really just doesn’t mesh with the story or their backgrounds
