I’ve always wanted to meet Joe Namath ever since I read a book that my dad gave me about him. I was probably only nine or 10 years old back in the early 70’s, I’m 57 now. My family is Hungarian, and I think my dad wanted me to see that being Hungarian was something to be proud of and celebrated. Joe Namath has been my hero ever since.
Listening to this book in Joe’s voice kind of felt like I did meet him, and that we were having the coolest conversation ever. Thanks Joe!!

A Great Listen

I loved this book especially that Joe himself read it. I could feel his emotion in every word he spoke. As a huge Joe fan since the beginning to hear him tell his story in his own voice was very moving and powerful and super enjoyable. Thanks Joe !!

Broadway Joe is still a HEADLINER!!!

What a Guy!

I really, really, really do not like football. I thought this book was going to be a personal account of the life of Joe Namath but it was all about football. Totally about football. And I enjoyed it!! Mikey liked it!!

I didn't understand most of the terminology but I loved listening to JN talk about it in his own voice. He has a interesting accent and cadence that made this book fun. Also see him in a different light. He's just a good ol' boy with incredible talent. And he has very white teeth! I can appreciate those pretty teeth!

Great read and even better audible

Great to hear on of my idols, "Broadway Joe".. Im a huge Jet fan.. I was in diapers when they won ... 51 years later still waiting for that second championship... Joe come back !

A larger than life guy

Joe was a larger than life guy. This book is well narrated by Joe himself and he does a good job. He basically walks you through his self predicted Super Bowl win and while he's recounting the game he takes you back to his early football career how he got there. I enjoyed his story and his candidness on everything from his inability to serve in Vietnam and views on others service to his alcoholism. Overall its a good book.

Even if your not a football fan

I grew up aware of Broadway Joe from sideline clips and the commercials and appearances. He always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye like he got the joke. This book is great because you get to hear his humor, dedication, honesty and gratitude. There are a lot of football memories obvi but it doesn’t get bogged down. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the written book as much but with Mr Namath’s telling of tge stories I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Continues time changes

I love Joe! I needed to hear this! His family and friends, coaches and trainers contributed to his life. Time for me to look back and give thanks too!

MANY PERSONAL LITTLE STORIES ABOUT HIS LIFE AS WELL AS A LOT ABOUT FOOTBALL.

A MUST READ FOR JET FANS. IF YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO KNOW WHO JOE IS YOU SHOULD "READ" IT ANYWAY.
