About this listen

"Fulford-Brown performs the chapters told by Briony and Isobel with a tight vocal timbre, while Corkhill handles those of Alistair and Gavin with a feverish intensity. Together, they skillfully imbue this story with plenty of heart and a few moments of tenderness." - AudioFile Magazine

All of Our Demise
is the epic conclusion to Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman’s New York Times bestselling All of Us Villains duology.

“I feel like I should warn you: this is going to be absolutely brutal.”

For the first time in this ancient, bloodstained story, the tournament is breaking. The boundaries between the city of Ilvernath and the arena have fallen. Reporters swarm the historic battlegrounds. A dead boy now lives again. And a new champion has entered the fray, one who seeks to break the curse for good... no matter how many lives are sacrificed in the process.

As the curse teeters closer and closer to collapse, the surviving champions each face a choice: dismantle the tournament piece by piece, or fight to the death as this story was always intended.

Long-held alliances will be severed. Hearts will break. Lives will end. Because a tale as wicked as this one was never destined for happily ever after.

Critic reviews

"Expanded tensions help keep the story fresh and the action inventive, but it’s the characters that shine. A high-stakes conclusion with satisfying finality." —Kirkus Reviews

severely disappointed

it really felt like there were multiple books squished into this one. I adored the first book but this one was all over the place. character choices were cyclical so there growth wasn't very evident. voice actors did great though!

Dark Survival, magic and romance. Yes. PLEASE.

I personally loved both of these books, with the twists in the romance that really I was happy with. So much so that I want more books like this and will probably reread them because of it.

The pain the characters went through and thought process felt real to me at least. I really cared for them in their own ways.

Of all the books I’ve read so far, this one had a chokehold on me. I need more of Isabelle’s relationship please!

Wasn’t what I expected

The first book was solid in my opinion with adequate narration. I left a raving in depth review. Unfortunately, the sequel wasn’t what I imagined and didn’t hit the mark for me. I will try other books by the authors though.

It’s still teen angsty (not my preference) like the first but I felt the first had the intrigue, development, urgency, tension, gore for adults to be hooked and balance out the teen angst. The second book was a YA through and through without those more adult parts.

I agree with other reviewers some story parts were confusing, disjointed, rushed; a third book would have been fantastic if the adult aspects were there and the story threads were explored. The character development seemed to stop or the development didn’t follow through. There were missed opportunities; those great threads to be pulled and explored. Those story threads were alluded, referenced, and lightly touched upon such as tournament preparation & backstories, rebels, the mystery behind the curse, the new normal, the family stories which never intersected, the spell society & government, what is a villain, sexuality/relationships, and briony’s magic at the end etc…

One pet peeve was the repeated dialogue throughout the book and the conflicting dialogue within 1-2 sentences.

All of our demise brought a sense of relief, peace and darkness that no other book will

All of our demise to put it short is the best book I have ever read, it kept me reading it and even evaluating every word said. Each character had their own personality, traits, and story. It’s descriptive ways Amanda Foody tell and the ways Christine Lynn Herman uses the characters actions and personality’s is outstanding. I hope more readers like me uncover the thrill of this book series All of us villains and All of our demise.

A perfect conclusion to a great duology

I really enjoyed the first book in this duology, All Of Us Villains, and immediately pre-ordered the sequel. And I was not disappointed!!

While the first book was framed as a spin on The Hunger Games with magic where all competitors are villainous, it really is a unique story. This sequel picked up right where the first book left off and feels like a very natural crescendo. All Of Our Demise was a bit darker and more mature than the first book, with an increase in cussing. I genuinely enjoyed the characters and the plot twists. Several times I laughed out loud, gasped, or involuntarily shared in second-hand embarrassment. This book has great “Spooky Season” vibes and I expect to revisit it often.

The narrators were both wonderful! There’s a few inconsistencies in accents and pronunciation, but not enough to really bother me. I plan to look for other books read by these narrators.

Overall I highly recommend this series! It is unique and engaging. I look forward to what Foody and Herman create next!

Good yet sad ending

This duology was fantastic. You love and hate all the characters at the same time. I knew not all of them would survive, but that's what made it good. It was the sadness that made the ending happy in a way. I could have done without all the extra romantic things just because it was cringe and felt forced. Otherwise, I loved this story. 10/10 would recommend.

Messy soap opera in love with its own “darkness”

The first book was ok. Not great by any means, but enjoyable enough. This second book is much weaker. The things the characters do at times seem completely irrational, there are some terrible plot holes, and the whole thing reads like a daytime soap opera. I see how the author have tried making her characters more complex but the writing is just not strong enough and it ends up being messy in stead. If you, like me, thought the first book was merely ok I do not recommend book two. If you genuinely loved book 1 maybe give book two a chance. For me it is not worth a credit.

Well

The first book was amazing this one dragged on. It was boring have to book. I think she’s an amazing author but she needed more time to make this one interesting it was all I could do to finish it.
