Good…

But I wish it went a bit further with the Sam/Gemma relationship. I felt like it ended too soon. Also the long pauses by the person reading Sam’s part were a bit annoying. But all in all I was glad I read it.

A well rounded tale

I found this story to be surprising and heartwarming because the characters were real, not impulsive without reason, grounded in their value system. It is not just a sugary sweet romance. It deals with real life struggles but as they call on their family and friends to help them, true healing occurs and becomes a shared experience.
If you’re in the grieving process or know someone who is, this book could be just the distraction you need.
Although I didn’t always agree with how the characters acted, I completely enjoyed this book!

This was a really good story. The characters were all very likable, (well, there was an exception 😉), and it had good flow. Looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Overcoming

My mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and then Lewy Body Dementia, I lost her two years ago and almost didn’t finish listening to this book yet m so glad I did. I wish she would have had a Doctor like Sam but she had a cold one. This really touched me. Thank you.

Deeper than expected

Characters were well defined. Complex human traits. Story line captivated me through unexpected twists and turns.

I appreciate the lack of cussing and that the characters build a relationship instead of just getting it on.
