Publisher's summary

For as long as I can remember, Lachlan West has been my brother’s best friend and the love of my life. Trouble is, he kissed me four years ago and then never spoke to me again. I was doing great pretending he doesn’t exist until I was assigned to write an article about former college athletes and I learn that the sexy single-dad is my first interview. Determined to wow my editor with an amazing sportsball piece. (Have I mentioned I know nothing about sports?) I head to Ember Falls, ready to face my fears—and the man I love.

The grumpy quarterback turned fireman wants nothing to do with me or my article. Yet, somehow I persuade him to let me follow him around for a few weeks, and even if he said yes just to get rid of me, I’ll take it. But the longer I stay in his small town, the more complicated our story gets. The boundaries we set fall to the ground—along with our clothes. He holds me like I matter, touches me like I’m cherished and kisses me like he loves me. We both know I have to leave Ember Falls, and he’ll never follow—I only wish I could write a different ending to our story.

Good story.

Enjoyable story. I loved this couple, they overcome a lot to reach their HEA. There’s something special about small town families, they love so fiercely and never afraid to get involved and tell you exactly what they think. All Too Well is a beautiful story full of love and d shenanigans.

Wonderful New Series

I really like Lachlan, Ainsley and, Rose together. Lachlan and Ainsley have each secretly loved each other even when they were growing up next door to each other or when they were separated for four years because of a misunderstanding. I like everyone in the book and can't wait for the next book. Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin really brought the story to life.

A Small-Town Romance with Banter, Heart, and Heat

If you’re a fan of Elsie Silver, Laura Pavlov, or just small-town romance in general, All Too Well is a must-read! I love a good small-town romance, but I prefer less angst and more banter, and this book delivers.

Ainsley Mackinley is a New York City reporter searching for her big break, but she’s stuck writing fluff pieces. Enter Lachlan West, her brother’s best friend, a former NFL star who traded the spotlight for small-town firefighting and fatherhood. The chemistry between these two is electric—plenty of banter, tension, and sizzling hook-ups. Plus, who can resist a single dad obsessed with his adorable, sassy kid?

This book is full of fun, witty dialogue, and heartwarming moments. The spice level is around 2.5 out of 5, and overall, I’d give this book 4 out of 5 stars. I can’t wait to revisit Ember Falls and its charming characters!

Best friends to lovers

First of all the narrators did a wonderful job and I would definitely listen to them again. The story was very cute but pretty predictable. I was hoping there’d be a bit more firefighter action but it felt like the author was trying to give it more of a sports twist 😅

Over all a cute/cheesy small town single parent romance

Another good start to a series

I love Corinne Michaels. She’s one of my favorite authors, and especially in this genre. This was a good start to a new series. Anxious to see how the other books unfold.

Corinne is definitely becoming an auto buy author for me! This is only my second book read by her & I just love her writing style & characters. She has a large back list that I will eventually work my way through! But this book is the first book of a new series in the small town of Ember Falls & about Lachlan & Ainsley. They grew up together, with Lachlan being best friend’s with Ainsley’s older brother. Ainsley had also had a major crush on Lachlan & when they finally shared their first kiss, Lachlan was in a bad place & pushed her away. Ainsley moved to New York & became a Journalist, except she hasn’t been able to write anything she is especially passionate about. That is until she gets the assignment of reporting on a Heisman trophy recipient, turned small town hero that saved a little girl from a fire. Who happens to be none other than Lachlan. So now she is back with her childhood crush, having to dig into not only his past, but their’s. He definitely tries to fight the attraction & connection, but she’s determine to be the one that stays.

Thank you Corinne Michaels & Valentine PR for the ARC!

So touching....

Ainsley and Lachlan have known each other since they were kids and Ainsley has loved him ever since. But one day, four years ago, in a very emotional moment for Lachlan, they shared a kiss and he made it clear to her that it was a mistake. Ainsley then goes to NYC to pursue her dreams of being a reporter and it's this dream that will also bring her aback to Ember Falls, where single dad Lachlan is now fire chief and a hero. He's made national news with a rescue and Ainsley is sent to cover the story.
If there is anyone who Lachlan would agree to talk to, it's Ainsley. While she thinks he's rejected her for lack of interest, it's quite the opposite: he thinks he's not good enough for her and will never be able to be there for her emotionally.
Several talks later and with staying at his place after her accommodations prove to be a fire hazard, Ainsley is making herself an integral part of the Wests's lives. Will Lachlan allow himself to forget the past hurts and let himself love and be loved?
I love Corinne Michaels and I'm already in love with Ember Falls and its ultimate frisbee team, the waterfalls, Rose, everything!
Narrated dual style by two favorite: Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais. Vanessa has a vibrant voice that's also soft and she portrays the peppy, sunshiny Ainsley perfectly. Connor can do tortured and grumpy like no other and he makes Lachlan absolutely irresistible.
I loved this small town romance with the reporter from the big city, the firefighter from the small town, the cute little girl who steals our hearts and there magic waterfalls.
I can always depend on Corinne to deliver!
