About this listen

A mother’s worst fears. A daughter in distress. A family falling apart.

Seventeen-year-old Georgia has a secret - one that is isolating her from everyone she loves. She is desperate to tell her best friend, but Sophia is ignoring her, and she doesn’t know why. Before she can find out, Sophia is left fighting for her life after a hit-and-run, with Georgia a traumatized witness.

As a school psychologist, Georgia’s mother Anya should be used to dealing with scared adolescents. However, it’s very different when the girl who needs help is your own child. Meanwhile, Georgia’s father is wracked with a guilt he can’t share; and when Zac, Georgia’s younger brother, stumbles on an unlikely truth, the family relationships really begin to unravel.

Georgia’s secret is about to go viral. And yet, it will be the stranger heading for the family home who will leave her running through the countryside into terrible danger. Can the Turner family rise above the lies they have told to betray or protect one another, in order to fight for what matters most of all?

Set against the stark, rugged beauty of England’s Lake District, All That Is Lost Between Us is a timeless thriller with a modern twist.

Absolutely Wonderful

This is one of those rare gems that is simply brilliant from start to finish.
It is a true mystery.
Not a thriller or extremely suspenseful, just a perfect little mystery.
Sarah Foster never disappoints, and this book is no exception.
What was so unique and compelling about this particular book is how she delves deeply into the dynamics of a family, a town, a school, and all of the characters involved.
There are so many interesting aspects of this book and the story…
The marriage, the children and their friendships, the crime that takes place, and there are several little mysteries within that you just WANT to know more about.
The characters are incredibly well developed, each and every one of them, and because she is such a masterful storyteller, you feel truly transported to this small village and all of the eerie, almost paranoia inducing aspects of living in a place where everyone knows everyone and has for years.
I could not put it down.
It is very, very well written, and beautifully performed.
I binged this book in a night.
SF is such a bright light and has such a true and real understanding of people and why we do what we do.
She knows how to create tension and suspense without using any of the usual tropes and that alone makes her incredibly unique.
Just yes…

Enjoyed the book, narration iffy

Unique story. Very well done.
Although, the narrator did a great job with performing the roles, if you struggle with listening to a dry, smacky mouth, this isn’t the narrator for you.

Good book

Though I love the psychology behind the story; where she tries to help the reader in areas of communication, the extra descriptions tend to make the story drag on. This, at times, made me want to stop reading. But I am a person that likes to finish what I start. So, yes, I have to finish the book.

Unexpected Ending

I really enjoyed this story. It was slow to start but took off in the middle. The end completely surprised me! I totally recommend giving it a shot!!!!

Not for me

For some reason, I didn’t find the plotline compelling at all. The ending left me disappointed and slightly confused.
