I absolutely loved this book! It has fantastic characters, a fast-moving plot, steam, and humor. Give me all the unhinged and all-in MMCs, and I will be the happiest of readers.

Jillian has been teasing Ranger for several months now, and here, we get to know him intimately. If you thought he was compelling as a secondary character in The Assurance Security Duet and Queen of Spades, you will be blown away by his POV chapters. Ranger in love is my favorite type of Alpha.

This is a fast burn and spicy why choose romance with all the OV goodies (scents, heats, slick, knots, bonding, and group play).

This book may be read as a complete standalone, but I would recommend reading The Assurance Security Duet (Vale’s story) and Queen of Spades (Annika’s story) first. Laken and her pack get their HEA here.

Another Fantastic Performance

This is one of my favorites by Jillian. Reading Ranger the first time made me absolutely fall in love with him. But listening brought not only the one and only Ranger to life but all the other characters in a way that you need to listen and enjoy.

Our beloved Laken sure goes on the ride of her life. But lucky for her, Assurance Security and the one and only Ranger is meticulous in his details to make sure everything goes according to plan. But watching him fall for Laken is everything you didn't know you needed. Add in Locke and Tanner and you have the perfect pack. I will absolutely come back to this one again amd again!

Always love the Omegaverse from this Author

We finally got Rangers BOOK!! And Jillian knocked it out of the park! Not going to lie, before meeting Laken, I really wondered if there was someone who was good enough for him! But Laken was PERFECT! She might be my favorite FMC that Jillian has written. She was quirky and bold! Exactly who Ranger needed!

I also didn't think I could love Ranger's character more! But Jillian proved me wrong there too! My gosh! He's hilarious! Watching him adjust to being in a pack was probably my favorite part of the book! Every time he plotted Tanner's torture in his basement, it had me cracking up! Their banter in the beginning of the book was GOLD! We also got to see a SUPER soft side of Ranger with Laken, which really only made me swoon for this fictional man hard! Didn't think that was possible.

Tanner couldn't have been a more perfect fit for Laken and her pack! He was so lovable and carefree. Every obstacle they faced, he just shrugged it off and had the sweetest things to say back to Laken.

As much as I swooned over Ranger, Locke had me just as wrapped. He was such a psychopath in the best way! Which made reading about him and Ranger working together absolutely HILARIOUS!! Both of them in Ranger's beloved basement torturing victims was so perfectly done! Because of course Ranger needed someone in his pack to help with his favorite activity.

This honestly might be one of my favorite Omegaverse packs to watch come together. I loved every single one of them, and they all fit together so well!

Dual Narration

I will never not be obsessed with Jillian's choice in narrators. My gosh! Michael does an incredible job with a pack of alphas! Listening to him bounce from one characters voice to another will never not amaze me. He's so incredibly talented. He completely nailed each of these alphas and their personalities so well! Which is saying something because Locke and Ranger were quite the duo. 🤣 Vanessa played Laken who I was absolutely obsessed with when I eyeball read this book, but getting to hear her voice brought to life was so much fun! Vanessa will always be my favorite omega narrator. 👏

Ranger Is Finally Brought To Life

I have never been more happy to listen to an audiobook! Finally getting to hear Ranger brought to life made my day! I didn’t think I could adore Ranger anymore than I already did, but after this, after hearing him, yep, I love him more lol. You don’t have to listen to, or read, Queen of Spades before this, but personally, I would recommend it. As usual, Jillian weaved the stories, and the world that they’re set in, all together so seamlessly. Vanessa and Michael did a fantastic job bringing all of these characters to life, and did such justice to all of their personalities. I have to admit, though, as previously stated, getting to hear Ranger, and his “unique” personality lol brought to life was definitely the highlight for me. #SorryNotSorry I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if it comes from Jillian, it’s going to be absolutely awesome. When you add in Vanessa and Michael together narrating, you won’t ever be disappointed in the end result, guaranteed ❤️

Outstanding!

My book review is below, but to add on top of that… this narrator duo is absolutely phenomenal. I am obsessed with not only this author, but how Vanessa Moyen and Michael Gallagher crush it every time. The way they bring life to the characters, make you feel as though you are experiencing the story along with them, and just make the listening experience a dream is nothing short of extraordinary. You need this audiobook in your life!

I absolutely adored this book! Laken and her men were perfectly balanced. I do wish we would have gotten a little more of Locke but my man Ranger showed so much growth and Tanner was the perfect counter balance for him. As always the plot and spice were perfectly on point. Absolutely smashed it!!

Funny and awesome

Summary bit
The Female lead is a lonely omega who has a scumbag boyfriend she trying to break up with. She meets his friend and has more of connection with him. But before she makes a real connection with him. She finds out a heat is coming and following after that, she gets kidnapped.
A team of alpha’s is sent to save her and two of them sent match with her. The fear of the men coming after her and the men she draws near too. Has her hormones up in a bunch.
The three alphas she draws to have no connection to each other. Creates an interesting situation.

My review
My favorite thing is the lead characters and this is what makes the book awesome. I don’t believe the author has ever done a lead funny psychopath character before or at least one I haven’t read yet.
One of the lead males is mentioned in previous books and he’s well known for his basement of horrors. Which is a torture dungeon. He’s a little autistic and does not think in the normal sense. Then you got locke, he is also a psychopath, but is able to fake it better. Tanner. Is a funny and relaxing Alpha, who just accepts life as it is. The omega has her own quirks and it plays well with the other others. But she can still be stunned.

All three of them make an interesting team and they have so many funny bits where your like wtf.
The storyline was pretty good. I thought there was going to be a big battle scene but kinda lacking there. That was the only bummer on the book. But everything else was wonderful.
The sexy bits were also nicely added into the storyline and not to much. This author has always been really good about this aspect of the books.

I have only found one series that I do not like out of all the ones I’ve listened to. That’s awesome.
I like that in her books, she plays off of other books she has written. Characters pop up from all over the place and it makes you want to go over to a different series to learn more about these characters.
She is a real artist with this.

Narration has always been pretty good with these readers. She uses quite a bit. I’m really happy she’s keeping with them. They are really diverse in all their voices.

What I recommend this book?
Umm, Hell yes! This will be
One of my favorites due to the characters. This is one of my favorite authors for this genre. I’m nearly done listening to all of her books She has out, so hopefully more start popping out fast. I have been in an omega verse kind of mood lately. The whole idea of three plus men taking care of one woman and being good men. Is a fantastical idea. It feels less sexist When it’s three women on hand and foot for a man. Maybe that sounds sexist just saying that. But a history of a powerless women, which makes that ok in my book. Love comes in all types.

Jillian is a wonderful author and I’m happy to hear her work.

Yaaaaasssss Ranger!

I was so happy to finally get this in audio form! I loved this book so much when I read it and even more when I got to listen and reread it together. This was EVERYTHING I was hoping for out of Ranger’s book. I am absolutely obsessed with this series and I cannot express enough how much this will be living rent free in my head for a long time. Beefcake’s interactions with Ranger just made the book that much better & Locke…***swoon***. As scary as Laken’s story starts, I’m so happy how it turned out! I can’t wait to see how the series ends 💖
