Great quick romance!

This was a quick but enjoyable romance. I really liked the professor until his more aggressive side was portrayed. I could have done without that. Just eliminated any sexiness I viewed him with, but maybe that's just not my thing! :) Anyway, I really enjoyed the narrator's voice as the female, but her male voice was a bit forced. Her narrating a story along with a male narrator would be fantastic! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

overall this book was decent for a college virgin obsessed with her professor. after awhile they hooked up just to get her heart broke

Meh

When a story is told primarily through a diary or a journal, the narrator has to do the heavy lifting. Everything that is known, every feeling, every scene, can only be expressed by the narrator. This was a decent story but the narrator had a cadence or an unnaturally long pause between sentences that made it hard to feel the story. I even tried speeding up the listen but that did not help. I got through the listen but it was a chore.

Sexy with a twist

I loved the way this was written. It starts with our main character writing in her diary and I loved the narrator in these scenes. She really did a great job conveying emotion. Drogo was described super sexy. But I didn't love the narrators male voice.

Brandy💘Dragos! An Emotional & Heartfelt Story!

This is an original and entertaining story. Shelly McBride has an interesting writing style, her lead character, Brandy, is telling her story as she writes it in her diary. Her story progresses each day, sometimes skipping days. We learn about Brandy, her roommate Misty, her boyfriend Brent and the professor she is crushing on. The Professor asks her to pretend to be his wife, which she does. Then lines get crossed a sort of taboo relationship/romance begins. There was drama and betrayal, I do wish we found out why some things happened the way they did but since Brandy chose not to know the reasons were not revealed. Brandies story is one of self discovery and of finding love. It a heartfelt story, emotional and sad at times, there was some great hot romance too.

I listened to the Audible edition, Leah Goodman did a nice job narrating, she brought Brandie’s story to life and made it her own, adding the perfect amount of drama and emotions into her performance.

Good short story. Narration needs less pauses.

A taboo student professor romance that is also darker story. There is a whole lot of heartache, drama, and betrayal as well as a very hot romance between Brandy and Dragos. Some things could have been explained better, but I'm willing to overlook that due to this being a shorter story.

The narrator paused too long between sentences, in my opinion. I am not sure if this was for effect or if it was unintentional. The pauses were mostly distracting to me and seemed excessive bordering annoying. More than halfway through the book, I guess I got used to tuning out the pauses and was able to appreciate her narration. Otherwise, I thought she gave a pretty great performance for character differentiation and her voice was relatively easy to listen to. I would listen to another performance by her so long as the excessive pauses weren't included.

Great Quick Read

Accidental Lover: A Mistake Marriage Protector Romance was a great read by Shelly McBride. Brandy has been yearning for her English Professor ever since she started in his class. Professor Dragos needs to produce a wife in order to keep his job. Things get complicated when he has his bosses believe that Brandy is his wife. Unfortunately Brandy finds herself trapped in a relationship with her high school sweetheart. I loved reading Brandy and Dragos story and can't wait to read more by Shelly McBride.

Ugh. I hate doing this because I really don't like leaving bad reviews but this one was really difficult for me to finish.
I finished though because I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
The Publisher summary sounded good to me, but the actual story didn't match to me for some reason. The way it was written seemed almost cheesy in places, and the drama had my head spinning at times. Just wasn't my thing.

Not terrible but not great

I was disappointed in the book. I am sure it was because of the reader. The narrator was too breathy. The main idea of the book was promising and I enjoyed that.
