About this listen

Publicly humiliated, Marisa Banks is blindsided by the news that the man she's been dating for months is married.

Being called names she wouldn't wish on anyone in front of a room full of people by her boyfriend's wife is enough to shake her identity to its foundations. In an attempt to rebuild, she makes a few questionable decisions.

Asher Blaine is one of them. He's intelligent and sexy, but the pedestal he's got himself up on is unshakeable. Or so he thinks. Marisa asks for the one thing he can't deny her, even if it's the craziest thing he's ever done.

She wants one night, his best eight hours. And damn if he doesn't deliver. The next morning, her bubble is shattered by his loud mouth, and Marisa retaliates with a stiletto and a remote. The best night of her life is over, and she's more than happy to walk away a free woman.

Asher's job sends him to Marisa's city, and when they cross paths again, it's Asher's turn to make an offer. And just like him, she can't refuse.

Will her worst nightmare and his complicated past ruin what they're building, or can they lean on one another to make it through?

The story was great but the female narrator didn’t give me black girl

I LOVED the story. However, the female narrator didn’t portray a black girl well at all. She didn’t embody the sound, tone, feel, & attitude of a black woman. I couldn’t get lost in the story because of it. I had to keep reminding myself the female character wasn’t Caucasian.
Other than that it was great.

Great read no dragging moments in the story

Such a great read! No dragging moments. I truly enjoyed it. I loved how they created that intimacy bond.

Asherrrrrr!!!!!!

Yesssss to the development of this story. Those sex scenes were steamy. I so enjoyed it. However, when doing a series please keep the original narrators, because to me, the female narrator was not good. I almost requested a refund. The story itself was well written.

Narrator

This selection had a lot of background noise and could hear the narrator swallowing . Love his voice.

Worthy Love-Wondeful Series

The whole series was wonderful. Well written and seeing Harliw, Seven,Quinn. and Risa Bell be there for one another shows the power if Black Girl Magic. The healing that takes place in the families shows the power of love, grace, and forgiveness.

Connection to the characters

Loved the story line. Hated when the characters spoke in the voice of someone else, especially the whiny voices used for Marissa’s friends. Intimacy scenes were awesome but after the shower it became too saturated and repetitive. Overall great read, would recommend!

Very good read and spicy!

Great book! Had just enough romance, spice and substance. Probably my favorite book out of the three book series.

Cute Story

The story was good but the female narrorator's voice did not fit the character and her male voice was so cringy. She made Asher sound nerdy and pathetic. Winston James was amazing as usual and I loved the story.

Swooning all throughout!! Asher!!

Wow!! If this book was food then I devoured every delicious bite! I adore Lotus and her fire! I wept for her, got chills when she yelled hopscotch, and audibly cheered when Reese was finally handled. I want to go to her yoga studio and hang out with her. Asher has ruined me! He’s number ONE of my book boyfriends! He was so well written that I was hooked on every word. I nodded when he spoke because I understood him and his love for Lotus. The book cover is what a girl likes. I’d glance at him here and there. I wish there were 119 more chapters. Ending it, I miss the characters. I’m reading out of order as I’ve learned there are companion books. I am having a hard time believing that there’s any male character as delicious as Asher but we’ll see.
Bravo and Encore!!!
