Conrad finds himself in the midst of events surrounding a man named Eli - events that carry strong contemporary echoes of the life of Jesus. Following Eli, Conrad is challenged to accept what he witnesses, just as Christ’s apostles must have been challenged. Eli gives a unique twist to a question many people have asked themselves over the past two millennia: How would I react if I lived in the time of Jesus?

Publisher's summary
Recipient of the Christy Award from the Christian Booksellers Association, A Ship Possessed pits superhuman powers against one man’s courage and faith. Fifty years after it was lost at sea, the USS Triggerfish washes up on the California shore. When retired Navy Captain J.D. Stanton is called into duty to investigate, he begins to see disturbing evidence that someone, or something, is aboard the curiously well-preserved World War II submarine. But the Navy is not the only one interested in it. A madman bent on world domination is focused on the ship, too. Stanton must ask for great spiritual strength to repel the evil confronting him.

It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

One September morning, Doug accidentally runs right into another surfer on the beach. There are rules about these things. Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A Ship Possessed
Outstanding story and narration. Intriguing. Loved the characters. Spirituality was uplifting and not overbearing. A great reminder for believers. Looking forward to more by this author and narrator.
