Brandyne left her family and followed a man who gave her five children, empty promises, and no lasting love. He abandoned her with her children, and she must rely on the charity of others to survive. To the sheriff in town, Brandyne is no charity. She is much more, but can he convince her that he is there to stay? The last man she trusted left her high and dry. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to those who like heartwarming contemporary romance. The narrator really brings the story to life. She is absolutely delightful.

I enjoyed this book another winner I’ve read must all the books in the series I think I’ve missed one I have liked everyone of them I like the characters I like reading about each of the girls stories overall this is a very good bookc

Another winner by this talented author

I had read and loved this story but now having heard the audiobook, it's even better. Why? Because it brings the story to live. You feel you are there with the main characters.
The story centers around single mom of 5 , Brandyne, and Sheriff Blake Gatlin.
Brandyne has lived in poverty , especially after Willy, the father of her children, and the man for whom she dropped all her future plans at the age of 18, abandons them . One of the men that find them in a shack is Blake. A man with a gentle soul, and one that with the town’s help, is helping her survive.
A friendship develops between these two, but what can Brandyne offer him, but her own baggage and a woman with 5 kids?
Blake sees in Brandyne a strong woman who has survived in spite of the obstacles she has had to overcome.
What happens when she is left homeless a second time? What happens when Willy comes back? Will Blake be left with a broken heart?
A story that I am sure you too will enjoy. If like me you have not read the previous stories in this series, no worries. This is truly a stand alone. And if you are familiar with the stories of the Parker sisters, also by this author, this story introduces the "girls" to the listeners. Another series worth your time.
Kudos also to the narrator for her excellent delivery.
This one is definitely another winner by this talented author.
