Publisher's summary

Lutishia Lovely writes tales of church life that are positively scandalous - in all the right ways. Side-splittingly funny, bawdy, and chock-full of oh-no-you-did-not moments, A Preacher's Passion stars Passion Perkins, who despite her name hasn't had a man in her inner sanctum for five long years. But things are about to change.

Critic reviews

"Passion Perkins attends Logos Word Interdenominational and is ready to end her several-year sexual drought. Love-hungry Passion lusts after Lavon Chapman, a producer helping Logos Words married pastors Dr. Stanley and Carla Lee create an inspirational DVD series. Lavon, alas, prefers the voluptuous Carla, whose husbands lackluster erotic prowess makes her ripe for Lavons picking. They embark on a heated affair that Passion seeks to expose after Lavon refuses her overtures. Several subplots barrel along, including a bisexual love triangle involving church members. The scintillating brew of sex, faith and sharp humor will have Lovelys fans breathless for more." ( Publishers Weekly)
"Lovely boldly steps into the den with all that is taboo within churches." ( Romantic Times)

Slow Start but What a Finish

This book started off slow, but when it did pick up, it picked up! Passion was the most irking character to me. Her desperateness was extremely disgusting and pathetic. Although, the ending was made right for her! I wish Stacey would have kicked Darius right to the curb the moment she broke her news to him.

Kinda Exciting - I enjoyed this

Great author, she always knocks it out the park.
Patricia Floyd is great narrator, when she is not eating or drinking (she wasn't in this one). Just (((((GET IT!!!!))))))), it was good.

Seemed like something off Married to Medicine and RHOA. lol!

Thirst but Passion

I feel someone who wasn’t as thirsty as passion should have played her role. You can only be dissatisfied for so long.. now in 10 years I wanna see her karma... I bet it’s gonna be worse... she’s gonna get a taste of why Carla was cheating.. it wasn’t right but he enjoyed his releases why couldn’t she? 💁🏽‍♀️

The Passion of the Preacher

This next installment in LuTishia Lovely's series was exciting! Oh the secrets of the preacher. Can Passion and Stan get it together or will Stan "follow" his heart? OMG! and what about Rev. O and Mama Max? All I will say to that is SMH Overall, I really enjoyed this series...church politics at its best!

okay

random comments, questions, etc as i listen

Passion- Lavaughn told her on more than one occasion he was not interested, flat out no sugar coating, didnt answer her calls or texts, so when she decries during the holidays that she misses him, I'm thinking what did i miss. they had a few friendly dates, but nothing worth missing. hmmm. she's a busy body

Stacey another character who wore her desperation all over her. well she got what she wanted. darius should've been honest at the onset to stop giving her slivers of hope

the other characters didn't stand out in this edition

Overall a good listen

The storyline, while a little disjointed, was good. Characters were fleshed out well and for the most part got exactly what they deserved.

Wonderful book from a wonderful author

2 years ago I was a guest of California book club and as I was returning my childhood friend told me how it was her month to choose the book and she had been given a box of books and had stumbled upon this one and she was enjoing it. Since I was going to attend as Sistahs For ever book club had been very supportive of me I ordered the audiobook. on the flight I was listening over my phone and was not using headphones, on this flight there were no tv. not realizing that the people around me had become ingrossed in the story until at a very funny part everyone around me started laughing so hard it was infectious and spread throughout the plane. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and wrote to the author and told her about the club featuring her book. she was so gracious and agreed to do a video call. they did not know about the call because she said she was traveling and I didn't want to disappoint the club of it could not happen. well when the video call came in they were so elated and over the moon.
