About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Corinne Michaels returns to Willow Creek Valley in this stunning surprise baby/unrequited love romance.

I was totally over Joshua Parkerson.

Sure, I had a teenage crush on him way back when - and everyone knew it - but he never saw me as anything but his little brother's friend, the girl who got tongue-tied any time he walked into a room.

I had long ago accepted the fact that his strong arms would never hold me, his lush lips would never claim mine, and his blue eyes would never see me as anything more than who I used to be.

But now he's back in Willow Creek Valley, and there's a brand-new spark between us - even he can't fight it. Our chemistry is explosive, and every time we're together, I swear I can feel the earth shake.

It doesn't mean anything...how could it? I'm over him.

Until I see that little pink plus sign, and the earth stops turning completely.

Now I want it all again, a life with him. But Joshua built walls around his heart for a reason, and his secrets haunt him.

How can I show him that the ghosts of his past don't have to define our new family's future?

How?!

How does a book make you laugh at one minute and cry the next. That is the magic of a Corinne Michaels book beautifully performed by Andi Arndt and Connor Cris. They brought each character to life. Connor made you feel the pain that Joshua was going through and Andi made you feel for Delia. Such a great book! It was a roller coaster but so worth the ride.

Wowza What a Story

This is Josh and Deliah's story. The emotional journey these two take will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. The narration of this story is perfect and let's you feel what these characters are going through. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Get your tissues ready!!

I absolutely LOVE this book series and can't wait for the next book to come out!! I cried so much during one part of this book because I know what it's like to go through what they went through. 🥺 No one should ever have to go through that kind of pain but I know that's just how life is sometimes. If you haven't read/listened to the other books in this series I definitely recommend you start with book one and work your way through them in order. Otherwise you will get spoilers.

♥️♥️♥️ All the Feels❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful book that gave me all the feels! Warning, if you’re triggered by the loss of a child, this book may not be for you. That said, Michaels created a more angsty storyline in this book compared to the first two in the series, in my opinion. Characters are well-developed, and the MCs have a beautiful HEA. Some events overlap in the Willow Creek Valley series, so it’s much more satisfying when read in order. Narration is stellar throughout the series!

Re- Read/listen: duh, of course!

Gahh, this story was so beautifully tragic. I know that sounds strange, but truly - if you are emotional while listening to this book, maybe hold off. Don't worry, things of course work out, but getting to that point for a hot little minute is just heartbreaking. Joshua and what he went through is so tragic, and the weight and guilt he carries truly make you want to reach into the story and not let him go. Delia is a Saint. her love for him is deep. This family just makes me so happy. Next to Rose Canyon, this series has my heart. I have had nothing but great things to say about this series.

Connor Crais and Andi Arndt were amazing!! They brought so much feeling and emotion into it. Well done guys.

Great Story!

OOH BOY! Joshua had the most to overcome to finally accept that he was ready to put his past aside and accept Delia into his heart for good.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it was shown that they started counseling together! That was so good!

And the epilogue for this book flows so perfectly into Oliver’s book!! Loved it!
This beautiful story was narrated by Andi Ardnt who I think is a great narrator and fit well for Delia’s character

And Connor Crais who was PERFECT for Joshua! He is so good at portraying emotions that you really felt Josh’s pain

All the feels {again!}

I scowled. I smiled. I laughed. I cried! All the feels for sure. Andi Arndt is a favorite and Connie Crais did wonderful, but I suppose it’s easy with great material!

Always a good read but………

I love her books. They have always made me fall in love with the characters. This one was no different. However I am getting tired of women always being portrayed as the weak ones. Why is the woman always giving in? This is a good example. While the book turns out how everyone wants in the end, the story getting there is brutal. The main female character has been in love with the same guy for years and they only kissed once ? Why is she the one hurting and not moving on? I don’t understand why so many books make the woman seem sad and too weak to move on from a man who shows so many times that he does not want her. I would like there to be more strong independent women who leave the men behind and the men have to chase them and fight HARD to get them. Not just one loving gesture and the woman gives in. To me it’s unrealistic and hurts knowing that’s how we may be seen more often than not.

Too Much Whining For Me

I usually like Corinne’s stories. The first book of the series was pretty good, and I enjoyed the second one which hit a little close to home for me. This one? This book was so similar the second book in the series. Both girls were pining over the guy since they were young, and the guys thinking they do not deserve the girls even though they love each other. The girls are so weak that they can’t even function without the love of their man. It just got to monotonous, and I couldn’t take the whining any longer from both of them.

Corinne knows how to pull our heart strings, and she did so in this book, but the characters both annoyed me so much that I couldn’t care for them. I sure hope that Oliver finds a girl who is a little bit more spunky and strong because I might just pull my hair out. The big plus about Oliver‘s book is that Zachary Webber is the narrator.

Also, it said in the credits that Olivers book was the last one in the series, but there’s one more brother. I wonder why Alex isn’t going to get a story. I kind of liked him the best next to Oliver.

I also wish that the brothers and sister wouldn’t hate their father so much. Yes, he was a horrible man, but that isn’t going to hurt him, but the ones holding the hate. Bitterness is like taking poison and hoping the other person dies. Don’t get me wrong, forgiveness is not the same as reconciliation. You can forgive, and still walk away from a toxic relationship.

I usually like Connor, but a few times he sounded very monotone. He read so slowly that I had to speed up the book just so he would sound normal. He’s really great at changing voices though, and he’s not bad doing a female voice. Andi was great as always.
