loved it all over again
Again feel in love with this book and characters all over again. Idk why audible isn't showing that I have already listened to it but I have. It didn't record my last review either. I will wait to re-listen to book three after audible have published book 4 to purchase. I typically hate "princess " nicknames but coming from his mouth💥

Great performance!
I love both of the voice actors they do such a good job and they along with the story are a great spicy adult fantasy that had me both intrigued with the storyline and loci gong the dirty talk! I just wish it was longer or the next book was out because I want to read it but also don’t want to miss out on the performance of these two in order to continue the story!

Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance 📖 🎧
✨A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal is the second book in the Stars and Shadows series by Holly Renee and it is everything you want in a deliciously steamy, fast paced, and swoon worthy fantasy romance. I listened to this story on audio as I read along and the narrators were absolutely wonderful! I fell in love with our two main characters even more as the narrators brought them to life.
The personal histories explored, the continued character development, and the new side characters introduced were all amazing. I loved the emotional intimacy, vulnerability, and intensity that develops between the love interests as they navigate life in the Blood Kingdom.
✨The romance in this story remains a consuming one, full of passion and possessiveness, all while transforming into something even more beautiful, more devoted, and more tender.
My heart broke a bit for both of our main characters throughout the story as their relationship struggles after the betrayals revealed at the end of book one. In our MMC’s attempts to salvage their relationship and their bond, we learn more about his past, his intentions, and future hopes and dreams for his Kingdom and his Princess.
✨I absolutely love this series and highly recommend A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal to those who enjoy steamy romances, and fantasy/ paranormal romances.

Just a bunch of smutt, story line sucks
This book bored me to tears. Barely any story line, no character development. If your wanting something where there is no real connection in the characters, no depth. Barely a story and every other scene is sex then…this is for you.
Performers were ok but the need an actual story to tell.

Lacks substance
I enjoyed the first book. It was a nice little introduction to the world and I liked the fact that it was short and to the point. However, as we dive deeper into this universe I’m finding thatt this short story actually lacks the substance that I need in a fantasy romance. The story would have benefited from dual POV’s. Also, Adara our FMC has a terrible personality. She is so back and forth with her feelings. I get this trope of “I don’t want him, he’s wronged me but I can’t help myself”, but it is not done well in the book. Instead she seems to lack any back bone and comes off as rude. I can’t get with her wanting her mate so badly when he’s gone then immediately hating him when he’s back, then wanting to marry him, then hating him, then loving him. It’s unbelievable and creates a situation that I’m hoping doesn’t work out. Lastly, how is it that we haven’t gotten into how Everen’s parents got together. Wouldn’t Adara be interested to know how the Fae King and the Vampyre princess found each other and made him?!!!…Or is it just me 🤷🏽♀️
