Plot Too Improbable

Well constructed and well written, the book had a plot that hinged on a sequence of events too improbable to be believed. Each decision by the each character had to be perfectly coordinated to get to the next “event.”

Good enough but the fantastic plot left me rolling my eyes thinking, “Really?!?”

Narration was excellent.

Nice Story

Interesting story. For me the plot of the story came in at chapter 12. From there all the excitement begins.

Enjoyable, but could have been better

I thoroughly enjoyed Graham Norton‘s first novel. This one had a lot going for it. Unfortunately plot points that should have been fleshed out weren’t, merely just skimming their surface.

Very enjoyable.

I liked all of it. I ordered it because Mr Norton was on with Steven Colbert and it piqued my interest. I loved the audible rendition as I can listen to it while working around my house. It was very well done and the story was a joy to hear unfold. Thank you so much and I will now look into more of his books. I love to read and now I have a new author.

Sweet and sour

This story was very endearing about the circle of life and the depths that people will go to for those that they love.

The overlapping stories of these 3 mothers and the lengths that they went to for family... its a great listen.

Wonderful story

A story set in Ireland with more twists and surprises than you can imagine. I could not wait to get to each new chapter. Fascinating plot and characters. Love, tension and mystery wraps people together in situations from which they cannot escspe. A great read!

Great story!!!

The author should've gotten a narrator instead of reading it himself. Terrible character voices. I would've enjoyed it much more!!!

Irish tale

This book is beautifully narrated and told by the author. His accent is pitch perfect!

Family origin intrigue -

Another mysterious family origin story from Norton. Rural farm and small town Ireland, single mothers, and family drama. A good story about average troubled people.

A Good Story

I enjoy this story .
I got lost with who is who at times.... From the Switching mother story kids story
& the Teen boy father was confusing but it might be that I listen to this straight through... with out stopping it ...I want to listen to this again because I Really enjoyed the story of the mother... & daughter and the surprises....
