About this listen

New York Times best seller Corinne Michaels brings a fun, sweet holiday short story.

All I want for Christmas...is to pretend the holidays do not exist. That should be my tagline for life. Another year with no one to kiss under the mistletoe. Of course, it doesn’t help that after my last epic breakup, I hopped into the sack with the one man I should’ve avoided. My arch-rival, Dean Pritchard.

Despite the fact that he didn't bother calling after our night together, I can't get him out of my head. I am so on the naughty list. But when a snowstorm traps us in an elevator, I can't avoid my work crush any longer. Will Dean be the lift I’ve needed for the holidays, or will Santa skip me yet again?

I loved this storyline of Dean and Holly, who are rivals for the same promotion. They both get stuck in an elevator due to a power outage. It finally gave them a chance to share their true feelings for each other.
Dean is determined to give Holly back her love of Christmas. This is a short story, but worth it!

I Love Corinne Michaels and her books are usually an immediate purchase. I was curious if I would like a Christmas novella from her and it was sweet. Re the scores: 5 is always “God” category, which was given for the entire Salvation series (the best romance series ever) ;). This was still very good. It’s always hard to develop a story fully when it’s only a novella. Female narrator was strong. Male was okay.

Very sweet Christmas romance

Short and sweet story about Christmas and love! What could be better! Corinne knows how to draw her audience in with her words! Can’t wait to read more of her books

Christmas love!

I hate to write this but I would not recommend this story. I am a big Corinne Michaels fan and was so excited when I saw that she wrote a Christmas short story… but this story is not up to par. Everything seems rushed, there’s a random sex scene and it lacks the usual charm. Narrators are okay at best.

Sadly lacking…

🎧 Narration: Both narrators did an excellent job. I loved Alyssa Avery’s performance as Holly. She was expressive but not over the top. & Michael Gallagher was phenomenal as Dean. This is a quick little audio at under two hours & I adored every second.

Holly & Dean were precious. Protect at all cost. This is exactly what i want from a holiday romance. Sickeningly sweet, goofy grin & kicking feet - adorable. Loved this one from Corinne.

cute. cute. cute.

This novella was the cutest Christmas romance I didn’t know I needed. Corinne’s writing always slays and this was short and sweet and to the point.

The cutest Christmas novella

Other than a brief mention of wanting to make Christmas special, there’s not anything else about Christmas in this book. There’s also zero humor or heat. This is thirty minutes of two people talking out their differences while stuck in an elevator, followed by an hour of them talking about their relationship … with an out of place sex scene and three F bombs in this otherwise cozy listen.
Talk about marshing my Xmas mallow.

Elevator therapy was not holiday uplifting
