My Beacon of Hope and Knowledge.
Pregnancy should be a joyful time, but for Black women, it can come with a heavy dose of worry. Statistics about higher risks and maternal mortality rates loomed large when I found out I was expecting. This book became my beacon of hope and knowledge. It doesn't shy away from the realities Black women face in the healthcare system. It empowers you to ask questions and be your own advocate.
