Outstanding! This was a great conclusion to the series. I especially enjoyed the last chapter! Great job Glen!

Fitting end to round out an exceptional series.

Well narrated and exceptionally written. This book is an appropriate end to a long series of books, that gives a plausible vision of the decay, collapse and phoenix like rebirth of freedom.

When I first started this book, it sounded pretty good. And as the chapters and books progressed I learned several things. Congratulations to Glen Tate and his team on producing these books. A very good listen. I don't give out 5 star ratings, but this one earned it.

299 Days: entire series

Everything about this story was captivating. The personalities brought out in each and every character made them seem like real people. The story reminded me to listen carefully to that small still voice. I certainly didn’t expect to shed some tears while listening to this book. It’s hard for me to say who would enjoy, listening to this series but I say, give it a try.

He did a wonderful job wrapping up an excellent series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Grant Matson, because he is a normal person thrust into extraordinary situations.

What about Kevin Pierce’s performance did you like?

He did a great job and really kept me engaged the whole time.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The 43 Colonels, heroes of the new Republic!

It is amazing how Tate continues to keep topping himself. 43 Colonels was amazing!

Best book series ever not counting The Bible

Series is GREAT especially regarding character development and has just the right amount of repetition to deepen identification with individuals and themes. I was literally brought to tears (joy or pathos) over 100 times.
The only missing elements to keep this from becoming even more realistic than it already is are the two layers of comprehensive Russian and Chinese military invasion. I regret to have to point out this very true aspect of the globalist enemies Americans must face on the not so far horizon. I sincerely pray that The author will seek "the outside thought" regarding the veracity of this sobering addition to the future we face! Be Semper Fi Coram Deo friends of God and His Liberty!

Two comments really...

What made the experience of listening to 299 Days: The 43 Colonels the most enjoyable?

Awesome backstory of several of the colonels you know and fills in a TON of the holes that would have been awkward around when they actually took place.

What was one of the most memorable moments of 299 Days: The 43 Colonels?

It's virtually impossible to talk about this book at all without major spoilers. There was one story in the middle-ish that stands out though. It basically ties the east and west parts of Washington together and makes the whole story actually work. There were a lot of other great stories that explain the other parts, but this was the big keystone that actually makes it logistically work, and I think it could have been an entire standalone book. It was VERY good.

Which character – as performed by Kevin Pierce – was your favorite?

I don't know. I don't really think about this. Kevin Pierce's narration is great, but I don't actually think of him as any of the characters like I do with some of the other audio books / narrators there are.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The final colonel....... ripped my heart out. Amazing.

Any additional comments?

The colonel before the last makes no sense whatsoever and I feel like Tate must have left a thought unfinished or something. It's like... there was a gal, and she was the leader of the farm unofficially or whatever and...... it never said why exactly we should care as the listener. All of the others were so well put together so this one really stuck out.

Also they keep referencing a certain assassination in this last book that I think only loosely gets referenced once about mid-way through the story in one of the books one time. I can't imagine ANYONE remembers how the character dies and I felt really left out for not knowing as the reference was made at least three times without reminding everyone what the heck happened.... So that was really irritating me. If they had just reiterated it one time, even if in someone's thoughts or something that would have been really nice.

So... I think those're really the only two things that bugged me. The rest of it is really amazing. There are many colonels that are new to the story that fill in a ton of really really cool plot holes.

I have no idea why there is so much hate on this book. I'd give it a 9/10. It's really good, just those two minor annoyances. Hope this helps someone.

Will Certainly Stir Your Emotions

What a brilliant final edition to this saga. The author does an exceptional job filling in the gaps of the background roles the primary and secondary characters played to facilitate the epic victory. The introductions of the new supporting persons and the roles they played was captivating and for some, emotional.

What a great f…ng series!!!

One of my favorite. Thinking this will be the future if our government keeps doing what they are doing. Thank you Mr. Tate.
