Do some work

The point of this audio book is to stimulate your preparation for interviews by posing often-asked questions and then providing general insight on how to answer. He emphasizes that results only come when YOU sit down and create your own and practice them until they become part of you. You truly get out of this what you put into it. Great for those who ACTIVELY are seeking to improve interview skills.

EXCELLENT INSIGHT-KEPT MY INTEREST

Would you consider the audio edition of 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions to be better than the print version?

I don't think so. I bought the printed version as Christmas presents and would prefer to read and highlight and be able to go back for review

Have you listened to any of Ron Fry’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I enjoyed his reading. He added personality to a somewhat boring subject.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. I would listen to it, then go back and relisten and learn something else.

Any additional comments?

I was hesitant to purchase a "self-help" book on audio because I thought it would be dry and boring. It was engaging and informative and kept my interest.

Great Tool!

I was just dreading the thought of starting the job search process and interviewing again only a year after changing jobs. I bought this book because I wanted to get some tips and refresh my knowledge about the interview questions that would be coming my way. I listened to the book twice and took the personal inventory as prescribed. This week I had my first interview since listening to the book and I am happy to report that I walked into the interview feeling confident and ready. I walked out of the interview feeling it was a success. Of course, time will tell, but I am confident a second interview with this employer is very likely. I highly recommend this book. Those of us who have been around the interview track a few times will find the information familiar, but the book dishes out good common sense and offers the interviewer prespective which is helpful to have. There are even more benefits to new job seekers or those who haven't been interviewing in awhile.

Nailed the interview!

Where does 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely on the top of "straight to the point" and "you get what it promises" book list.

What other book might you compare 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions to and why?

"How to find a Job in the 21st Century"

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me feel that extra prepared for my Media management Job interview and stun(in most positive way) the 12+ year experienced Hard Core interviewer, which I am grateful for to this book.

Any additional comments?

In the end I refused the above mentioned Media management Job due to information I had gathered later on about the company, however, the interview for this particular company was tough and there would be no way, I'd pass even first 10 minutes, without training of this book...

Excellent starting point for interview technique

What made the experience of listening to 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions the most enjoyable?

Some great ideas well narrated. Definitely worth a listen as there is very effective advice in this book.

Any additional comments?

The book concentrates on interviews in the corporate sector - it would be great if the book could also talk about Academia based interviews.

Good at how to know yourself

I have not known how to describe myself until I came across this audiobook. I don't know how to answer the question of who you are until I listened to it. Right now, I am a little bit confident.

It works

I've used this book in numerous interviews and the material is solid. The advice is priceless and it works very well. Of course, recent changes in interview tactics do undermine some of the topics in here (especially when salary must be reported). Yet the material remains relevant and the narrative is great.

There are better books out there on the subject...

Not quite as good as some of the other books I’ve read or listened to on the subject. The narrator also did bore me with his monotone voice. However, with that said, this book is still very good and provides tons of tips and advice. It is very insightful and educational and I only hope to remember much of this when I am being asked similar questions during one of my interviews.

I used this!

Like the other reviewer said, I had no idea how to answer the "Tell me about yourself" question until I heard this tape. It really helped me prepare for an interview with a top company. It had lots of other good advice but it was worth it just to know how to answer that one question.
