    Good introduction to memory techniques

What will this book do for you?

It will introduce you to mnemonic techniques -- including linking, visualization, memory palaces, and phonetic.

It will recommend lifestyle fixes that will maximize your memory -- including sleeping right, eating right, and thinking right.

The reader is a seasoned voice professional and his speaking will keep you engaged.

If you are looking for a more detailed treatment of memory I would recommend "Your Memory: How It Works" by Kenneth Higbee. If you are looking for a story about memory I would recommend "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Joshua Foer. The former you can only find on Amazon but the latter is available on Audible.

This piece will give you a good introduction. If you read it through a few times you can ingrain the principles. Then give it a few months to start using these techniques on a daily basis. If you follow this process -- by using this book alone -- you will possess a better memory than 95% of the people you come into contact with.

    Dissappointing

Without the written materials, this book loses a lot of its value. As an audio book, this is extremely repetative. The "memory tools" that it teaches you could be taught in 3 days tops, rather than 10. I found very little information that was truly helpful as a memory technique.

    Not very helpful

Poorly organized, and, contrary to every bit of memory research, not logically connected. The book frequently makes either non-sensical or contradictory statements.

    Good Memory Techniques

Good Audible audio title, I suggest you suppliment the audio version with the printed version. The memory techniques for remembering numbers is a must have for techical people. The techniques for remembering faces, names, addresses, etc. are probably only beneficial as a "refresher" for Sales people. For general purposes, anyone can us this Audible title to exercise their mind and increase their proficiency with visualization.
