About this listen

A strong minded Irishwoman pursuing her dream. A disillusioned businessman ready to retire. Can two determined people separated by years and miles find true love at the end of an Irish rainbow?

Prepare for romance and fun with the third book in the home-flipping series brought to you by USA Today bestselling author Josie Riviera.

Irishwoman Kathleen Kelly wants to renovate her new tea house in America to a sparkling shine, enticing droves of customers to Roses, NC. But the project quickly takes a turn for the worse when her hard work falls flat.

Rob Taylor knows a thing or two about running a business. He’s built Rob’s Marvelous Muffins into a thriving business catering to hundreds of customers.

With Rob in Miami and Kathleen in Roses, a May-December romance isn’t a part of Kathleen’s carefully laid-out plans. Besides, they’ve both admitted to each other how unlucky they are in love. Better to leave romance out of the picture and stick to friendship and hard work.

Kathleen has no choice but to face what she is most afraid of...commitment.

And it will take more than hot tea and marvelous muffins to bridge the gap between them.

From USA Today bestselling author Josie Riviera comes a heartwarming sweet romance about Irish grit, with a good deal of decorating and old-fashioned renovating thrown in.

A sweet May/December romance

This was a very sweet book! I had a hard time with the narration at first, but it didn’t detract from the storyline. I will say this was the first of the series I have listened to- and I wish I had read or listened to others first. I was a bit lost on some of the characters. I will read the first two then revise my review.
1-800-IRELAND is a book about an Irish woman opening a tea house in a small town in America. Her Realtor has someone she wants to set her up with as soon as she meets her! I must say- after listening to this book I want to live in Roses! What a lovely place.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

When the competition, isn't really...

Two people with a love for baked goods rock each other's worlds: Rob, established in Miami with his chain of Rob's Marvelous Muffins, and Kathleen, who's traveled to another country to open her own little shop. Mutual friends suggest that Rob might be able to give Kathleen some hints and tips as she prepares for the grand opening of her small-town bakery.

While described as a May-December romance, it's more like May-September since there's only 15 years difference between them.

Overall, this was a fun story. My only complaint is, I wish it came with a slice of brown bread!

May-December relationship

Revisit the town of Roses we met in 1-800-Cupid. Katherine came over from Ireland to live her dream of a tea house in America. She met Rob a friend of a friend who owned muffin shops in Miami. They both have insecurities but work towards a long distance relationship. Between both being extremely busy and insecurities and other hiccups you wonder if they can ever work everything out. Sweet clean listen.

A great book!

This is a sweet tale of a man and woman who find each other when they aren’t expecting it. Kathleen and Rob’s chemistry flies off the page, and their happily-ever-after is unexpected from the start. If you love romance where the characters fall deeply for each other, then you’ll want to read Josie Riviera’s brand of romance. Anthea Hallet-Ybarra does a fabulous job bringing the characters to life while narrating this book with a few different accents.

Sweet Romance

This is a sweet, clean romance. A true Irish woman, Kathleen, is a determined woman. Rob is 15yrs older but falls for her. Question is does the age difference make a difference in them getting together? And there is an Irish man that tries to swoop in & take over. I love the narrator's use of Irish when she reads Kathleen's words. I received a free copy from the author. This is my voluntary opinion.

Fun and interesting

1-800-IRELAND is a sweet and clean romance with characters out of the norm. I love that Rob isn’t the typical young, buff, hero. The storyline is interesting and is nicely paced, keeping me engaged. The narrator does a fabulous job and I enjoyed the lilt for the Irish characters.

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Delightful!

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet and delightful romance, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to, I adored Kathleen, she is strong willed and independent, I admired her courage to up and leave her country and all she knows to follow her dreams of opening a tea house in the US and to do so on her own. Her realtor and friend knows someone who can give advice, Rob Taylor, a successful baker and businessman who owns several Muffin Shops in Florida. He agrees to come visit and see if he could assist Kathleen in any way. The two hit it off right away, he offers some great advice and more. I loved who everything plays out in this book, Josie Riviera fit a lot of story into her novella sized book, the story is well plotted and flows naturally. There is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some great heartfelt moments and the start of a sweet romance. Josie Riviera, thank you for this wonderful story.

Anthea Hallett-Ybarra is a terrific narrator & voice artist. She brings the characters to life giving each their own voice and personality. She does a great job portraying the characters, capturing and projecting their emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

A cute listen with people from opposite sides of the world that are able to meet and find love. All while starting up a new bakery definitely makes it for a busy book. A fun listen with great narration.
