＜レフ・トルストイ＞
ソ連(ロシア)の作家。ヤースナヤ・ポリャーナ生まれ
。 幼くして両親を失い、カザン大学中退後、地主としての生活に入る。
ルソーの影響を受け、1852年「幼年時代」で作家として第1歩を踏み出し、以後大作「戦争と平和」(1864〜1869年)、「アンナ・カレーニナ」(1873〜1876年)等多くの作品を残す。
又、農民の生活改善と教育に情熱を燃やし、1859年農民子弟のための学校を開設する。
19世紀ロシアを代表する巨匠で現代文明の批評家、人生の教師として世界の思想界に君臨する。
他の作品に「イワンのばか」(1885年)などがある。非暴力主義者としても知られる。©2019 PanRolling
