Historia
Arch-swindler Moist von Lipwig never believed his crimes were hanging offenses, until he found himself with a noose around his neck, dropping through a trap door, and falling into...a government job? Getting the moribund Postal Service up and running again, however, may be an impossible task. Worse, the new Postmaster could swear the mail is talking to him.

Historia
Betrayed, terrified and alone, Elizabeth Cage has fled her home. With no plan and no friends, she arrives at the picturesque village of Greyston and finds herself involved in an ages-old ceremony that will end in death. And that might be the least of her problems - the Sorensen Institute would very much like to know her whereabouts. And Michael Jones is still out there, somewhere, she hopes. No matter how far and how fast she can run, trouble will always find Elizabeth Cage.

Just can't get through it
Revisado: 03-24-22
This is the first book of Jodi Taylor's that I have not really liked, if not loved. It felt like the editor said you must 23,437 words, and she only had so much story to tell, so multiple places she just described the dead horse...to death. I gave up about 2/3 of the way through, the story just drug on and on.
I felt like both narrators (Book 1 and Book 2 have different narrators) did a very good job, but I felt like the narrator for this book sounded too refined and mature for Elizabeth's young and naïve character.

Historia
Charles Dickens is not feeling the Christmas spirit. His newest book is an utter flop, the critics have turned against him, relatives near and far hound him for money. While his wife plans a lavish holiday party for their ever-expanding family and circle of friends, Dickens has visions of the poor house. But when his publishers try to blackmail him into writing a Christmas book to save them all from financial ruin, he refuses. And a serious bout of writer's block sets in.

Gretchen Rubin has found that getting control of our stuff makes us feel more in control of our lives. By getting rid of things we don't use, don't need, or don't love, we free our minds (and our shelves) for what we truly value. With a sense of fun, and a clear idea of what's realistic for most people, Gretchen Rubin suggests dozens of manageable steps for creating a more serene, orderly environment - one that helps us to create the lives we want.

Nice Christmas cozy mystery
Revisado: 01-09-20
The story was nice and Christmasy with a little murder thrown in. The forced accent and "breathlessness" of the narrator really grated on me by the end. She could have just read it in her normal voice and it would have been fine.

An OK Christmas read
Revisado: 01-09-20
This story was a fairly cute Christmas cozy mystery. I made the mistake of ordering the second one as well, because I was mildly interested in a couple of the characters, but the second book just drug on and the main character hadn't grown or changed in the slightest since the first book - she still insisted on putting herself, her family her friends and her family's business in jeopardy for no good reason.

The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

Revisado: 01-10-18
So many plots going on, it is a little hard to keep track, but that is also a part of the story. looking forward to Book 3. Love the narrator's change in voice for different characters, that helps me keep track of where in the universe we are.
