Story
A lost civilisation. A curse reborn. Dr Ben Kazin has only a blurred photograph and a gut instinct that there is a lost city to uncover somewhere beneath the Botswana cliffs. Soon, a whispered curse and a chance encounter with a local tribe lead him to discover much more than city foundations. The curse, it seems, is real, and will link Ben, his oldest friend and the woman they both love with a forgotten leader from 2,000 years ago, in a city of glory and honour that subsequently disappeared without a trace.

I’ve really enjoyed revisiting this book as the story is as fresh today as it was when it was first published in 1950.
Robin Bentley’s narration is masterful with every character comes to life in the listeners imagination.
My only grip is Audible only has 2 titles in there current library but we live in hope for more.
I can highly recommend this book to you👍

I was recommended to Peter Hanington’s Debue novel about a week ago and have now listened to all 3 books since.
Each one has got progressively better with ‘A Cursed Place’ being a real ‘Page Turner’
This series is a Winner and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
Jonathan Keeble is one of my favorite narrators and delivers a masterful performance.

Books don't get much better than The Power of One

It's been over 25 years since I read this book and although I remembered how much I had enjoyed it all those years ago I had forgotten just how well it was written and how you just get pulled into the story.
Humphrey Bowers narration is truly excellent, with his character portrayal coming over as so natural, he really has added layers to this text.
If you want to get lost in the cruelty and wonder of the human condition, set in the magic of Africa, then get this book.

What a Fantastic Book - The good thing is that it's just the First installment
Reviewed: 06-28-15
I mostly listen to Non Fiction because so much of the Fiction writing these days seems to be so formulaic or just not to be credible. I've previously read a couple of Bears' books and enjoyed them, particularly his first when he climbed Everest, so I thought I would give Ghost Flight a go.
The writing is descriptive and absorbing and the chapters just role by.
The narration is simply First Class!
You would think that after 12 or 13 hours it would be time to move on to something new, but not a bit of it.
Bear when's the next one coming out?
If your looking for a Really good Read/Listen then I would definitely recommend Ghost Flight😀
