Painfully Boring
Revisado: 07-28-19
I am a faithful follower of the Chicagoland series. This story never got off the ground for me. It was slow and way over described to the point of many eye rolls. The narration was just a little slow and I had to bump it up to 1.25 to keep it moving along.
I’ll try the next book out of loyalty to Ms Neill, but this story was a swing and a miss for me.

Truth
Revisado: 01-08-18
I am an Xpat, who lives in Thailand. The Thailand back story is spot on. There is a magic to the Thai culture which the author beautifully captures. The people of Thailand, and especially the women, are faced with few choices in life. However, they have a strong sense of family and religion which allows them to maintain a sense of honor in their choices. I respect the Thai people and applaud the authors characterization of them! Highly recommend this book!!

Really Tried
Revisado: 04-03-16
I really tried to like this story. I am drawn to stories that contain strong female leads. The story was supposed to be about the most feared assassin in the whole kingdom. I admit that I finished the story, but I was tempted many times to stop. The lead character was so spineless, petty and small minded it made it painful to hang in there and finish. I was very disappointed. I will go no further in the series. However, I did check out the reviews for the next couple of books in the series and it seems the main characters never got better.

Silver Borne

Lorelei King
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Narrator kills this story. Sounds like she was reading the story for the first time. The halting naration is really bad.

Shameful
Revisado: 12-18-11
If you could sum up A Feast for Crows in three words, what would they be?
Very Poorly Narrated
How could the performance have been better?
I can't believe this narration got by the author. It is so overly acted that is hard to concentrate on the story. Shameful!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Does Pissed off count??
