Story
Colin Salmon and Stephen Fry star in this brand new adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes adventure, The Hound of the Baskervilles, reinterpreted as a dark folk horror by best-selling authors George Mann and Cavan Scott. An ancient curse has awoken on Dartmoor, the members of the Baskerville family hunted by a spectral hound of Hell. With Sherlock Holmes busy in London, Doctor John Watson is sent to protect the new lord of the manor as fear and superstition run wild in the ancient countryside.

Not bad at all
Reviewed: 12-28-21
I absolutely love the original Sherlock Holmes stories and this is a pretty good version. There are some changes and additions but it's not so different that it takes away from the experience. And the cast does a stellar job with the material!

It's a cute, classic mystery. A bit drawn out in parts but the end was just right. I'd probably have thrown my poor phone out the window if a certain announcement wasn't made at the end though *chuckle*. Definitely worth a listen if you want something nice and relaxing.

Story
A body in the back of a taxi begins an elegantly constructed mystery, perhaps the finest of Marsh’s 1930s novels. The season had begun. Débutantes and chaperones were planning their luncheons, teas, dinners, balls. And the blackmailer was planning his strategies, stalking his next victim. But Chief Detective Inspector Roderick Alleyn knew that something was up. He had already planted his friend, Lord Robert Gospell, at the scene. But someone else got there first....

Story
One of Ngaio Marsh’s most famous murder mysteries, which introduces Inspector Alleyn to his future wife, the irrepressible Agatha Troy. It started as a student exercise, the knife under the drape, the model’s pose chalked in place. But before Agatha Troy, artist and instructor, returns to the class, the pose has been reenacted in earnest: the model is dead, fixed forever in one of the most dramatic poses Troy has ever seen. It’s a difficult case for Chief Detective Inspector Alleyn.

As per usual it's a brilliant story by Ngaio Marsh, but it's all a bit spoiled by the fact that the performer pronounces Alleyn's name incorrectly
