Story
A frank, smart, and captivating memoir by the daughter of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Small Fry is Lisa Brennan-Jobs' poignant story of a childhood spent between two imperfect but extraordinary homes. Scrappy, wise, and funny, young Lisa is an unforgettable guide through her parents' fascinating and disparate worlds. Part portrait of a complex family, part love letter to California in the '70s and '80s, Small Fry is an enthralling audiobook by an insightful new literary voice.

Totally captured the feeling of having an intermittent dad, and an artist mom.
The narrator was good - but I wish she would have learned how to correctly pronounce the names of the Italian restaurants they visited and the foods they ate… standard things like “bruschetta” - but maybe just because they could eat at nice Italian restaurants doesn’t mean they had culture. I just wonder who edited the audio version and if the mispronunciation was on the part of the family, or just the narrator.

1. It’s easy to tell someone what NOT to say. It would’ve been more helpful if the author included phrases TO use.
2. Why does the narrator sound exactly like Lily from a Colleen Hoover series? I think it would be easier to take advice from someone who sounded a bit more mature and experienced. This narrator sounds like a lady standing in an all-white kitchen in a detergent commercial.

Story
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Just boring

Nothing against the ideas in the book. It was just slow and boring and I couldn’t get attached to any of the characters. It took me about six months to get to chapter 7 and I read three books in between that I loved.

Story
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

I think I’m in love

I can feel again… after years in a loveless, passionless marriage. As much as I wanted to hate these books, I fell in love with Atlas, and his voice in this audiobook.

Story
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Blech

What is this junk? Can’t even make it through Chapter 1. Zero character development so far and the guy is already saying “I want to fuck you” to the girl at the most inappropriate time. I hate both of them. This is a book for immature people who don’t read much. If I ever caught my daughter reading this superficial junk I’d make her repeat college. And the narrator either talks too fast or painfully slowly, alternating between a sickly sweet girl voice and a fake manly voice.
I’m going to have to read some 18th century poetry to cleanse my mind now.
