Actually learned a few things
Reviewed: 02-03-20
I have a finance and accounting background and have generally read and learned about FIRE topics for a while. Nonetheless this book was useful as an organizing framework and o learned a handful of technical things that were great (eg straight line depletion of 401k pre-65yo).

Story
Creating something from nothing is an unpredictable journey. The first mile births a new idea into existence, and the final mile is all about letting go. We love talking about starts and finishes, even though the middle stretch is the most important and often the most ignored and misunderstood. Broken into three sections with 100-plus insights, this no-nonsense audiobook will help you find your way through the hardest parts of any bold project or new venture.

Not bad but I’d you’re generally on top of the news and blogs around the startup ecosystem then you have already heard the case studies and the suggestions.

Useful summary; nothing new if you’re in the ecosystem
Reviewed: 08-10-19
This is a great summary of how the venture capital world functions, the incentives and behaviors that drive decisions and things to keep in mind while navigating all of it. Given its publication date in 2019 though there’s a handful of books that pretty much have covered all the content in this book. Plus if you have been reading the author’s blog over the years you have also gotten all the content albeit in small pieces at a time. Not sure I learned anything new.

For anyone that spends any amount of time following major websites, blogs and newsletters, you won’t learn much new. Super basic and ‘how to interview’ if you’re straight out of college basically.
