Story
The first thing I noticed about C.J. Gorman was his plexiglass bra. So begins Destination Unknown—it's 1987 in New York City, and Micah is at a dance club, trying to pretend he's more out and outgoing than he really is. C.J. isn't just out—he’s complete out there, and Micah can't help but be both attracted to and afraid of someone who travels so loudly and proudly through the night. A connection occurs. Is it friendship? Romance? Is C.J. the one with all the answers... or does Micah bring more to the relationship that it first seems?

An Epiphany of thought
Reviewed: 07-24-23
This is the most insightful book that I have ever read. I have given it to numerous readers, most of whom don’t read it, or don’t understand it. This book has become my understanding of existence and reality. I really don’t understand why it is not more openly excepted, particularly in the physics community. I would love to have some explanation and discussion about that.
My number one book in the world.

Story
It's not easy for a young gay artist like Jordan Carson to grow up in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where all anyone seems to care about in middle school and high school are the sports teams. But Jordan was lucky. He met Owen Nelson in the second grade, and they've been BFFs ever since. Owen is a big, beautiful blond and their school's champion wrestler. No one messes with Owen, or with anyone close to him, and he bucks popular opinion by keeping Jordan as his wingman even after Jordan comes out at school.

Story
In this explosive new book, Sam Harris tears down the wall between scientific facts and human values, arguing that most people are simply mistaken about the relationship between morality and the rest of human knowledge. Harris urges us to think about morality in terms of human and animal well-being, viewing the experiences of conscious creatures as peaks and valleys on a "moral landscape".

My Second Epiphany
Reviewed: 04-23-11
After reading Christopher Hitchens "God is not Great" I had an epiphany about the realities and contemptibility of dogmatic religions. It was like taking blinders off. Now I have had that experience again after reading "The Moral Landscape". Of course, morality should be looked at objectively and be allowed to develop in the light of empirical analysis and thinking.

It is an irresponsible and calculated attack on free thinking. It is laughable for anyone with even a small understanding of philosophy, but potentially damaging to a young mind in search of a rational way to look at the world around us.
