Historia
Wilkes is alone, struggling to survive on the island once known as Great Britain, 36 years after the zombie apocalypse devastated the world. As the young woman makes her way along the ruined landscape, she stumbles across a backpack filled with journals written by a man she will never meet, but who will alter the course of her life nonetheless. Through these yellowed pages, Wilkes relives the worst that life had to offer at the very end of humanity's reign.

I have to admit I thought Mike’s zombie story was played out and I didn’t get this when it first came out. But I had a couple of books to buy so I figured why not. Glad I purchased. I’m going to have get the next one now.

The writing is A+ but narrator adds to it
Revisado: 04-07-23
I’m weird about audio romances. It’s like someone saying the sex scenes in front my parents. So normally I stick to a sci-fi or fantasy books. I tried the audio of Magical Midlife Madness for a reason I don’t remember. I probably had a credit after finishing another of the authors books.
This series is honestly exactly WHY I like audio books. It’s touching & it’s so funny I’ve spilled a drink on myself at least twice but I’ve been able to control myself a few more times. It’s ridiculous and I love the crazy characters.
I think I would love the story as a free kindle unlimited book but the narrator brings all the crazy characters to life. Nicole brings this series from a 9 out of 10 to a 10/10 or absolute favorite.
Austin is written as too perfect (🤫 10% kinda love it while 90% me 🙄). OK, so probably 49/61. But that’s a me problem not a problem with the series. You should see my TikTok FYU page. If you’re over 35 and looking for a guy that is DEVOTED!!! and she’s very surprised by everything then try this series. I love it.

Historia
Timothy lived a life only a psychopathic sociopath could enjoy and understand. When he was bitten on the first day of the zombie-apocalypse he turned the tides on a single-minded virus he affectionately called Hugh. Together they terrorized a city before seemingly meeting their untimely demise. Nobody could have foreseen his resurrection. Tim's close call with death has done nothing to temper his missions in life, to live, to eat and to rule the world. Tim is back and he's an asshole.

9 hours is too much time with Tim
Revisado: 01-24-20
I love most of Marks books and I wanted something to listen to so I bought Tim 2 & 3. But 9 hours of sadistic torture is way too much for me. Poor Sean Runnette probably had to take a vacation after this. He was amazing as always and really brings the book to life.

Love the series but
Revisado: 01-07-20
I have enjoyed all the books in the series and The narrator really brings the stories to life for me.
However, I do have an issue in each book when the dark worlders are mentioned. Ol’ James McGill doesn’t seem bothered that they left women on a planet to continue to be raped by literal monsters & impregnated with litters of more monsters. They can build spaceships but can’t be bothered to build artificial breeders for their pet monsters?

Emmie is an unpleasant woman. Jealous and putting a coworker down because she's younger and prettier. Horrible to the poor idiot in love with her. Interesting crime story and the narrator does a really good job.

Catalina is a cute little bunny
Revisado: 08-29-19
I love the family and world building in the series. Catalina isn’t my favorite type of heroine but she won me over by the end. She’s a shy, sweet little bunny that learns to at least pretend to be a boss. The guy, whatever his long ridiculous name is, is really bland. Never really came alive for me like the other characters. I guess being pretty is all that is required even in books.

Historia
It's hard enough for Alastair Stone to keep his two lives - powerful mage and mundane Occult Studies professor - separate without an old friend asking him to take on a new apprentice. Especially after a university colleague wants him to investigate a massive old house for things that go bump in the night. Still, Stone figures it's an easy job: just turn up, put on a little show, and announce that the house is clean. Only it isn't. A malevolent spirit is reawakening in the basement.

Everyone in this book is stupid
Revisado: 10-20-16
Any additional comments?
I've returned a few books and thought about returning this one but was curious about the ending so I decided to keep plowing through it. The lead character is an idiot. I had to keep telling myself the kid is actually realistic because a teenage boy would actually destroy the world to get some. But I have to draw the line when even the villain is an idiot. I have about an hour left in the book and I'm pretty much hoping they all die horribly.

Historia
A group of close friends gathers at a secluded cabin in the wintry mountains of Colorado for a final holiday hurrah. Instead, it may be their last stand. First a massive blizzard leaves them marooned. Then the more chilling realization: Something is lurking in the woods, watching them, waiting.... Now a weekend of family, friends, and fun has turned into a test of love and loyalty in the face of inhuman horrors. The only hope for those huddled inside is to fight - tooth and nail, bullet and blade - for their lives. Otherwise, they’ll end up like the monsters’ other victims: bright pools of blood on glittering snow, screams lost in the vast mountains.

What's with the title?
Revisado: 04-21-16
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator sounds like everything is an announcement. He also doesn't do female voices very well.
Any additional comments?
I love horror movies but the normal horror movie set-up of 20 minutes of boring people doing boring things then 1 hour of terror only works when I can fast forward through the boring introductory part. It seems to be even worse in horror books where half the book is about getting groceries and that awkward "car talk" that every horror movie/book is required to have to prove how cooool the characters are. But this book was able to be interesting during the boring introduction by throwing in random people, killing them quickly then back to the main characters talking about about jobs and how awesome Ryan is.I agree with the other reviewers that less relationship whining would have been nice but I can see it was put there to make them more "human". I like when the characters are stupid and whiny since I don't have to feel bad when they're horribly killed and this book is full of stupid people dying mostly off screen or through the eyes of someone else.I've only found a few horror audio books I've enjoyed and I liked this one so I'm going to try some more of this author's work.

Historia
A thrilling new novella from best-selling author Greig Beck - starring the formidable Alex Hunter. When the coalition of Allied Forces established an international zone in Iraq, they meant to bring peace to the region. They were succeeding - until the moment something hulked into the zone and detonated a nuclear bomb. The last images from the area prior to the blast are not of drones or the trail of an ICBM. Instead they show a solitary figure carrying the enormous weapon to the soon-to-be ground zero on its back.
