Story
His family killed my brother, so I stole his bride. I was there to murder her father, but then I saw her walking down the aisle. She’s been my secret obsession for too long. The sinfully beautiful Calabresi princess. Sloan was the perfect payment for their crimes. Now she’s mine. Mine to claim. Mine to possess. Mine to destroy. Her fiancé is still hunting for us, but his bride might not be so innocent by the time he tracks her down. I’m lining her family up like dominoes. And she’ll be the first to fall. Unless I fall prey to temptation and keep her for myself.

4.3 Stars. Awesome Narrators.

I am not giving this a five star rating because of a few things. First, I felt like the ending was rushed. I expected more on how things would end, especially after reading more of the sister's other heartbreaking books. It was understandable though seeing they wrote this first. Second, I was used to reading more b@dass FMC from their books. I found the FMC in this book lacking in that department. She was too sheltered and always needed saving from other people. Third, I don't know why I found the other brothers of the MC much more interesting too. Maybe I got tired of the MC always saving the FMC and that most of his personality that was shown was centered on that. It was like he didn't have much of his own personality and simply existed because the FMC needed to be saved. I think that if this book was not a standalone, things could have been explored more. Though I'm grateful that this was a standalone because the cliffhanger on the sisters' books always break my heart. The narration gave justice to the characters, especially the singing parts in the book. I didn't find anything annoying even when the male narrator tried a female voice in the chapters. Overall, this was a fun, light and interesting read. It was not too dark and there were little to no triggers (though I wish it was darker and had lots of triggers because I'm crazy like that). I recommend people to buy the audio book version. It would provide a better experience and would make you like the book more.

The narrator gave justice to the book. Well done!
Reviewed: 05-10-22
The audiobook was narrated by Caitlin Kelly whose voice fit the characters, especially the protagonist, the unwitting sorcerer Vhalla Yarl. There was no need for a full cast as the narrator managed to create subtly different voices for each of the characters encountered in the book. The narration started with Vhalla who has been taught to fear a magic society called the Tower of Sorcerers. She unknowingly saved a powerful sorcerer, the Crown Prince Aldrik. Now, she must choose whether to leave the life she knew and embrace sorcery or remain where she was and eradicate her magic. The book only got more interesting from there. It had elemental magic and sorcery, romance, and war between kingdoms. The narration helped me better understand the book as it felt like Vhalla herself was teaching me everything I needed to know in a pace I could follow. I didn't feel like the narration dragged on which might make a book longer than it actually was. The flow was easy to understand as the book moved from one chapter to the next. The narrator gave justice to the book and the reading style brought the book to life. By listening to this audiobook, I was swept away into the world of the book. I didn't even realize that the audio was coming to a close.
I believe that Vhalla still had lots of things to improve about herself and her sorcery, so I'm looking forward to it and her journey in the next books. I can't wait to listen to the next book in this series! Overall, this audiobook made me fall in love with the series more. I will definitely purchase the next book in this series.

Story
I’ve got a list with six names on it. Six people who wronged me, who hurt me, who took everything from me. Six people who turned me into the monster I am now. And I’ve crossed off every name but one. One more name. One more death. Should be simple, right? Yeah, you’d think so. But it turns out revenge is a messy business, and when I end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, I royally piss off four brutal, twisted, gorgeous men.

4.5 Stars! A steamy and amazing start to a series!
Reviewed: 11-21-21
For some warnings, the book had mentions of assault, but not from the harem and blood play on steamy scenes. The story was amazing and this was a wonderful start to the series! The scenes in the book were unique as well. The steamy scenes got even hotter with this audiobook. I especially love the scenes where they end their victims and how good the narrator did those parts. The reason why I didn't give this audiobook a rating of 5 was because there were some parts in the book that I felt the narrator could've added more energy to it, did not feel like not all of guys fit the narrator's voice or vice versa. The female narrator mostly sounded bored, but I was not sure if that was how River should sound like. The male narrator did Knox's and Ash's parts well, but when it was Priest's and Gage's parts, I just felt like there was something missing. Overall, listening to this audiobook made me love the series more. I can't wait to read the next books in this series to know what will happen next to River and her guys, as well as her vengeance on her enemies! I highly recommend everyone to read this book and listen to this audiobook, especially to those who loved Den of Vipers, who like their guys a little bit psycho, and unique steamy scenes that will require you to change your underwear from time to time.

I'm the girl you'll never see coming. Blink and you're dead - another target checked off my list. But one night, everything in my carefully ordered existence falls apart. A bloodbath and a car crash later, I find myself in the grasp of four gorgeous, intimidating men. Are my captors cops, like they claim, or something far more sinister? They sure know how to bend the law. And seeing how skillfully they handle a gun or a knife, I can't help wondering what their hands would feel like all over me.

ANOTHER GREAT SERIES! UNPUTDOWNABLE FIRST BOOK!

Loved this book! I can't help but love the FMC, Decima. She's b@d*ss yet naive as she was sheltered from normal life. It's good to read a book that will keep you guessing and at the edge of your seat, since not everything is as it seems in this book. There's enough action without the book being too dark and avoiding lots of triggers. The multi-POV helps in getting sides of the stories from the guys and Dess. It helps the reader understand the plot better and the motives of each character. There are too many secrets the characters keep from each other. There are also still lots of questions such as who the real enemy is and how her relationship with each of the guys will develop, which will all be answered in the upcoming books. I hope that more background on the guys will be revealed as well in the upcoming books, as well as the connection between Dess and Julius, why he seemed to know her from before. The narration for this book also helped me get into the scenes more as the narrators did a good job in portraying Dess and the guys. I highly recommend everyone to read this book especially to those who loved the Crooked Paradise series.

My Go To Series when I'm having a bad day
Reviewed: 10-26-21
This is the tenth time I'm going back to this series and everytime it ends, I feel sad because the characters here are just fictional. How I wish I can have a cheerful friend like Leon, a loving, loyal and protective family like what Dante has with the Oscuras (even just riding a storm dragon will do), a hot boyfriend like Ryder (one who appears as a tough guy but is actually sweet), and a Seer friend like Gabriel which will come in handy with visions and all. If you are not reading or listening to this amazing series, you're missing out a lot. Solaria is the perfect world to get lost into. If you want a book with plot, funny dialogues, hot faes, dragons, basilisks, steamy scenes, mysteries and an FMC who's capable and strong, then this is the book for you.

The narrator did well and made me fall in love with this series more! There are times though when it was a bit awkward hearing a female voice narrate Sinjin's point of view during a steamy scene. The narrator's voice was the perfect voice for the FMC in this book. I felt like the FMC was beside me in reality and was personally telling me her story. That was how real it felt! Everytime I do a reread or in this case, listen to the audio book for the series, it never fails to keep me at the edge of my seat. Despite knowing all the twists and turns, listening to this helped me took note of some of the phrases or descriptions I've missed when I read the book. I highly recommend everyone, especially those who prefer to listen while doing work or other activities, to give this well-executed audio book a try.

They are everything to me. I love Jaxson, Ezra, Maverick, and Ryder the same and in vastly different ways all at once. It's a love that threatens to consume me. To take over every waking second of my final year...if only hidden enemies, ancient secret societies, and unsolved murders weren't also competing for my attention. This will be my hardest term yet. Not just for the horror of the present, but for the uncertainty of my future. How can I have a life with my knights when someone is determined that I don't survive my senior year at all? But I will find them. I will expose them.

An Epic Conclusion to an Unforgettable Series
Reviewed: 07-25-20
This book was one of the reasons why I fell in love with the bully genre. I am happy by how it all ended. Every mystery and questions I have were solved. This was the good thing as the author did her best to finish the series in the best way possible. It had everything a book should have. The narrator did not disappoint. I like that all the bad guys got what they deserved, that's all the spoiler I'll reveal. I can confidently say that this was one of the most unforgettable series I've read. Highly recommend everyone to listen to this epic conclusion. PS. There is still Somerset University which follows Val and her guys' journey in college. Check it out on Amazon if you love this series as much as I do. You won't regret it.

The narrator's voice really helps the listener to feel the dialogues more and be more moved by the scenes. I like how despite all things, the FMC is still strong and faces every challenge and danger coming her way. The mystery is still ongoing and Evergreen isn't as it seems. Book 4 will surely be an epic conclusion. You don't want to miss this out.

They broke me. Ryder, Maverick, Ezra, and Jaxson didn't think I would come back for my second year. The coldly cruel knights of Evergreen believed the Mark would be all it took to get rid of me. To keep me quiet. But now, I've got a whole new reason to stay. Those four will know a pain far worse than what I've endured.
