Story
The goblin invasion is on...and a wizard's work is never done! After facing a hopeless siege, an implacable foe, and an impossible escape, you would think that Minalan the Spellmonger would be able to rest - but the armies of the undead goblin shaman Shereul (known as the Dead God to his human victims) are rolling over the Western reaches of the rustic Duchy of Alshar and is headed toward the heart of the Duchy of Castal. Thousands are fleeing for their lives as hordes of goblins pour out of Boval Vale and devastate the rugged fiefs of the Alshari Wilderlands.

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Story
It’s been two years since Auris escaped from the sinister Goblin prison and learned of her heritage as one of the Fae. She is now happily partnered with her Fae lover, Harrow, and deeply bonded with her new family. All seems to be going perfectly—until, surprisingly, the Goblin attacks begin again. Someone, it seems, has not forgotten that Auris exists and seems determined to retrieve her . . . but who? And why?

Story
When aging fisherman Louis Mann hears a voice summoning him to an off-limits stretch of Long Island Sound, he knows he might be going crazy but feels compelled to heed the call. A big enough haul of summer flounder could be the windfall Lou needs to change his life–what little time he has left. But then his nets get stuck on something lodged in the ocean floor, uncovering a mystery that quickly ensnares three equally damaged strangers.

Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

I really wanted to like this but no. This was disappointing, I hope Alanson isn't a "one trick pony" Bishop and Skippy...bantering back and forth, and the constant focus on food!
I want to say something positive but can't.

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.

Story
Thomas was no one, an orphan with no past and no memories of his early life. The only clue lies in the strange birthmark on his chest, a mark that may or may not reveal his origin, but will certainly guide him to his destiny. Growing to manhood he will become a man of consequence and influence, yet the greatest gift he has to offer his people lies not in his power, but in his wisdom. As he strives to reach his potential he will face obstacles great and small and he will discover that some foes are too strong to defeat with power alone.

Lusam?
Reviewed: 08-10-19
This storyline reminds me so much of Dean Cadman's Lusam series that I kept expecting Aysha to be an alternate name for
Sarah. Yes, the same narrator Alex Wyndham so this help account for most of the similarity. I have all Manning's and Cadman's auto books and love them, but this one seems out of place....good book but just doesn't seem to fit. I still find the book worth the purchase but as a stand-alone book kind' a short.
