I wished there had been more, but that is always the case with a novella. I enjoyed the story, the descriptions make you feel like you were being blown and battered around in the hurricane. Good job Ms. Fey. The characters attraction sizzled. The various twists and turns kept you guessing as to the outcome. A good beginning to a great series. I've enjoyed all of Chrys Fey's Disaster Crime books and highly recommend them.

This is the second audio book I’ve enjoyed from Stanalei Fletcher and narrator Charles Henderson Norman. The narrator brings Stanalei’s characters to life and the settings are explained in great detail. I like the feeling of being in the story rather than just reading it.
Riley O’Neal objects posing as anyone’s husband and especially when it’s the very woman who deceived him on a previous mission. US Army Lt. Mary "Chip" Anderson tries to remain objective during the undercover mission. When things go wrong and Chip is kidnapped while trying to rescue a senator’s wife who also happens to be her friend, it’s up to Riley to save the women and avert the threat. The twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end.
I enjoy fast-paced romances with suspense and intrigue. Beyond Duty met all my requirements and then some. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Once a powerful Earth Elemental with the gift of making anything grow, Kincade Murphy has lost his power and is about to lose his failing ranch. He enlists help in the form of a fledgling plant biologist, Allyson Hamilton, who takes on the research project at Kindade’s Ranch. She’s out to prove herself but discovers there’s more going on at the ranch than meets the eye. Sparks fly between them in more ways than one at the most inopportune times.
While taking soil samples they uncover a sinister plot to force him off his land and destroy her research. Now he’ll risk it all to protect her.
Set in a small town, this a story about deceit, desire, trust, romance and magic. The characters are compelling, the descriptions vivid which the narrator does a good job of bringing to life. One of my favorite parts was a scene between the dog and horse. (Want to know more, listen to the book) LOL If you like tender romance with a touch of paranormal along with intriguing twists and turns to keep you guessing, you’ll enjoy listening to this book as I did.
