Story
Jason Sterling had a simple life by all accounts. He had worked the same job his entire adult life, he had never married and he had no children. He was used to doing things on his own. His comfortable life was shaken to the core the day he learned of his fathers death. It was a mysterious meeting that set life altering events in motion and the allure of a new life was too great to walk away from. When an Electromagnetic Pulse brings the modern world to its knees, Jason's choice proves to be the right one.

Reader needs to take the time to learn how to pronounce names of towns

Good story, but every time the narrator said Eli, I cringed. Take the time to learn how to pronounce the names of cities and towns, especially ones that occur frequently in the story.

The world is falling apart. Joshua Jordan’s protégé Ethan March, along with Jimmy Louder and Rivka Reuban, have been left behind in a world that is rapidly coming under the complete influence of the Antichrist. Technology is growing by leaps and bounds with BID-Tag implants, robotic police units, and drone-bots flying overhead . . . all designed to control and dominate those who resist the Antichrist’s reign of evil.

Narrator ruins the story

If I hadn’t already listened to and liked the first two books in this series I wouldn’t have made it through this one. Lip smacking and other weird noises, odd pauses and annunciation and emphasis were distracting and annoying. Didn’t even keep pronunciation of names consistent with the first two books.

Story
Lia’s meeting was on the 60th floor, in a corner office, with a view of Chicago that took her breath away. When the power went off, her gut told her something horrible was happening. Then she saw the plane heading for the building. She had to get out.

Storyline was good. If awkward word choice and sloppy sentence construction had been addressed it would have been far more enjoyable.

His political view is apparent (using the term schtick rather than platform or agenda when referring to Republicans, etc). This is unfortunate, as I believe that this is good information and many people who would benefit from listening to this will be turned off by the blatant partisanship.

good info, crappy reading/narration
Reviewed: 12-15-20
The information is good. Writing is OK, but sometimes the word selection is weak (questionably instead of questioningly, for example). The bad part is the reading! The reader is so worked about the crappy accents that punctuation is totally ignored, yet he still reads sentences in the wrong character. Extremely hard to listen to. I didn't finish listening, and may buy the e-books, but can't suffer the narration any longer.
